For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan to the east.”

But we do not claim any of the land on the other side of the Jordan. We would rather live here on the east side and accept this as our grant of land.”

你們的妻子、小孩和牲畜都可以留住在約但河東邊摩西所給你們的地；至於你們一切有力氣英勇的人卻要列好了陣，在你們的族弟兄前面過去、幫助他們；等到永恆主把你們的族弟兄安頓好了，像把你們安頓好了一樣，而他們卻取得了永恆主你們的上帝所賜給他們的地了，然後你們才可以回到你們的基業地、去取得它；那地就是永恆主的僕人摩西在約但河東邊、日出的方向、所給你們的。』

但是他們對他們列祖的上帝不忠實，他們變節去服事這地別族之民的神；這民是上帝從他們面前所除滅的。故此以色列的上帝激動了亞述王普勒的心、就是亞述王提革拉毘尼色的心，王就使如便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半族派的人流亡到哈臘、哈博、哈拉、和歌散河邊；他們的後裔到今日還在那裏。

也把亞伯蘭弟兄的兒子羅得和羅得的財物都拿了走。當時羅得正住在所多瑪。

我們、我們人要武裝好好、在永恆主面前過去、到迦南地，只是約但河東邊、我們所承受為產業之地、仍然要歸我們。』於是摩西將亞摩利王西宏的國、和巴珊王噩的國、那地、和屬那地的城市、在境界裏、連四圍之地的城市、都給了他們，就是給了迦得子孫、如便子孫、和約瑟子孫瑪拿西半個族派。

當以色列王比加在位的日子、亞述王提革拉毘列色來奪取以雲、亞伯伯瑪迦、亞挪、基低斯、夏瑣、基列、加利利、和拿弗他利全地；使這些地方的居民都流亡到亞述去。

迅速得來的產業、起初以為福；終久不是蒙受祝福之事。

以下這二人是以色列人所擊敗、而取得其地的兩個王；就是以色列人在約但河東邊、日出的方向、從亞嫩谿谷、直到黑門山、和全亞拉巴東邊、所擊敗的王。一個是亞摩利人的王西宏、住在希實本的；他所管轄的、是從亞嫩谿谷邊的亞羅珥、和谿谷中間、跟基列的一半、直到雅博河、亞捫人的境界，以及東邊的亞拉巴、直到基尼烈海，又到亞拉巴海、就是鹽海、東邊，按到伯耶西末的路向；其南界是毘斯迦下坡之下。另一個是巴珊王噩：他是利乏音人所留下的，住在亞斯他錄和以得來；他所管轄的是黑門山、撒迦、巴珊全地、直到基述人和瑪迦人的境界、基列一半、希實本王西宏的境界。永恆主的僕人摩西和以色列人將這兩個王擊敗了；永恆主的僕人摩西便將他們的地給了如便人迦得人和瑪拿西半族派的人為基業。

羅得舉目，看見約但河那一片平原，沿到瑣珥的路向，各處水源充足，在永恆主還沒有毁滅所多瑪、蛾摩拉以前，就像永恆主的園子，就像埃及地一樣。於是羅得選擇了約但河那一片平原，向東邊往前行，他們就彼此分離了。亞伯蘭住在迦南地，羅得住在那片平原的城市，漸漸搬着帳棚，直到所多瑪。

這兩個半支派已經在耶利哥對面、約但河東這邊、日出的方向、承受了產業。』
