“现在，你们这群罪人的后代竟然重蹈前人的覆辙，加剧耶和华的怒气。

现在，你们这些罪人的族类，也来接替你们的先祖，增添耶和华对以色列的烈怒！

看哪，你們這一夥罪人，竟然接續你們父執之輩，再增加耶和華對以色列所發的怒氣。

「現在，你們這群罪人的後代竟然重蹈前人的覆轍，加劇耶和華的怒氣。

現在，你們這些罪人的族類，也來接替你們的先祖，增添耶和華對以色列的烈怒！

如今你看，你們倒起來接替你們的先祖，成了罪人的族類，使永恆主向以色列更加發烈怒！

今爾繼祖、增益罪人之數、使耶和華怒以色列族愈甚、

今爾繼祖、恆為犯罪之人、使耶和華怒以色列族愈甚。

今爾曹一類作孽者興、繼爾先人犯罪、使主怒以色列人更甚、

“ And here you are, a brood of sinners, standing in the place of your fathers and making the Lord even more angry with Israel.

“ Now here you are, you bunch of sinners! You have taken the place of your fathers. And you are making the Lord even angrier with Israel.

And behold, you have risen in your fathers’ place, a brood of sinful men, to increase still more the fierce anger of the Lord against Israel!

But here you are, a brood of sinners, doing exactly the same thing! You are making the Lord even angrier with Israel.

And here you, a brood of sinners, stand in your ancestors’ place adding even more to the LORD’s burning anger against Israel.

And look! You have risen in your fathers’ place, a brood of sinful men, to increase still more the fierce anger of the Lord against Israel.

And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers’ stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of Jehovah toward Israel.

And here you, a brood of sinners, stand in your fathers’ place adding even more to the Lord’s burning anger against Israel.

Oh, sinful nation, People weighed down with guilt, Offspring of evildoers, Sons who act corruptly! They have abandoned the Lord, They have despised the Holy One of Israel, They have turned away from Him.

And You subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, And You handed them over to them, with their kings and the peoples of the land, To do with them as they desired.They captured fortified cities and a fertile land. They took possession of houses full of every good thing, Carved out cisterns, vineyards, olive groves, Fruit trees in abundance. So they ate, were filled and put on fat, And lived luxuriously in Your great goodness.“ But they became rebellious and revolted against You, And threw Your Law behind their backs And killed Your prophets who had admonished them In order to bring them back to You, And they committed great blasphemies.

Behold, it is written before Me: I will not keep silent, but I will repay; I will even repay into their laps,Both your own wrongdoings and the wrongdoings of your fathers together,” says the Lord.“ Because they have burned incense on the mountains And scorned Me on the hills, Therefore I will measure their former work into their laps.”

Did your fathers not do the same, so that our God brought on us and on this city all this trouble? Yet you are adding to the wrath against Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”
