“ Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo, and Beon,

Atroth- shophan, Jazer, Jogbehah,

For the fields of Heshbon languish with the vine of Sibmah. The lords of the nations have broken down its choice branches, which reached even to Jazer, which wandered into the wilderness. Its shoots were spread abroad. They passed over the sea.Therefore I will weep with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sibmah. I will water you with my tears, Heshbon, and Elealeh: for on your summer fruits and on your harvest the battle shout has fallen.

Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our livestock shall be there in the cities of Gilead;

The sons of Gad after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Haggi, the family of the Haggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites;of Ozni, the family of the Oznites; of Eri, the family of the Erites;of Arod, the family of the Arodites; of Areli, the family of the Arelites.These are the families of the sons of Gad according to those who were counted of them, forty thousand and five hundred.

Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks, herds, and tents.

Zilpah, Leah’s servant, bore Jacob a son.Leah said,“ How fortunate!” She named him Gad.

Reuben, the firstborn of Israel; the sons of Reuben: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.These are the families of the Reubenites; and those who were counted of them were forty- three thousand seven hundred thirty.

I will bring Israel again to his pasture, and he will feed on Carmel and Bashan. His soul will be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and in Gilead.

Their border was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, to Aroer that is near Rabbah;

Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of the Jordan, that it was well- watered everywhere, before Yahweh destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of Yahweh, like the land of Egypt, as you go to Zoar.So Lot chose the Plain of the Jordan for himself. Lot traveled east, and they separated themselves from one other.

They also said to Pharaoh,“ We have come to live as foreigners in the land, for there is no pasture for your servants’ flocks. For the famine is severe in the land of Canaan. Now therefore, please let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.”

“ On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their divisions. The prince of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.His division, and those who were counted of it, were forty- six thousand five hundred.“ Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Simeon. The prince of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.His division, and those who were counted of them, were fifty- nine thousand three hundred.“ The tribe of Gad: the prince of the children of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.His division, and those who were counted of them, were forty- five thousand six hundred fifty.

Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your heritage, who dwell by themselves in a forest, in the middle of fertile pasture land, let them feed; in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.

Leah conceived, and bore a son, and she named him Reuben. For she said,“ Because Yahweh has looked at my affliction; for now my husband will love me.”

Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.

A mixed multitude went up also with them, with flocks, herds, and even very much livestock.

They passed over the Jordan, and encamped in Aroer, on the right side of the city that is in the middle of the valley of Gad, and to Jazer;
