The Reubenites and Gadites, who had very large herds and flocks, saw that the lands of Jazer and Gilead were suitable for livestock.

The tribes of Reuben and Gad had very large herds and flocks. They looked at the lands of Jazer and Gilead. They saw that those lands were just right for livestock.

Now the people of Reuben and the people of Gad had a very great number of livestock. And they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, and behold, the place was a place for livestock.

The tribes of Reuben and Gad owned vast numbers of livestock. So when they saw that the lands of Jazer and Gilead were ideally suited for their flocks and herds,

The Reubenites and Gadites had a very large number of livestock. When they surveyed the lands of Jazer and Gilead, they saw that the region was a good one for livestock.

Now the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad had a very large number of livestock. So when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, that it was indeed a place suitable for livestock,

妻孥、牛羊、必留於基列邑中、

伽得生西分、與其眷聚、哈基與其眷聚、書尼與其眷聚、阿士尼與其眷聚、以哩與其眷聚、亞律與其眷聚、亞哩利與其眷聚、此伽得之子孫、計四萬有五百。○

羅得偕行、亦有牛羊帷幕。

悉帕生子、利亞命名伽得、曰、幸甚。

以色列長子流便生哈諾、與其眷聚、巴路與其眷聚、希斯崙與其眷聚、迦米與其眷聚、此流便之子孫、計四萬三千七百三十。

我必返以色列族於故土、於加密巴山、牧守群羊、於以法蓮、基列地、而得果腹。

其界自雅設與基列諸邑、亞捫族地之半、至喇巴相對之亞羅耳、

其時所多馬蛾摩拉未為耶和華所滅。自約但平原至於瑣耳、土皆潤澤、猶耶和華園、可與埃及相頡頑、羅得瞻望及之、故擇約但平原而東徙、於是二人相別。

近者迦南饑甚、牲畜無蒭、故欲旅此、求法老許僕居坷山。

南方有流便之纛、及其軍旅、示丟耳子以利蓿為流便牧伯、能臨陳者、計四萬六千五百。西面支派從右列營、蘇哩沙太子示路滅為牧伯、能臨陳者、計五萬九千三百。伽得支派從其左、流耳子以利亞薩為牧伯、能臨陳者、計四萬五千六百五十。

先知禱曰、爾得斯民、牧之以杖、譬諸群羊獨居、不雜蔭於叢林、游於加密、嚙蒭於巴山、基列、與昔無異。

蓋世人心為欲所役、目為物所引、驕泰邪侈、非父使之然、由世所誘、

利亞懷妊生子、命名流便、曰、耶和華俯念我苦、今而後、夫必愛我。

其蓄積富厚、有金銀牲牷。

非同族者、從行亦眾、群畜牛羊、不可勝數。

濟約但至伽得河中之亞囉耳、建營於邑南、牙設相向之所。
