The descendants of Gad by their clans were: through Zephon, the Zephonite clan; through Haggi, the Haggite clan; through Shuni, the Shunite clan;through Ozni, the Oznite clan; through Eri, the Erite clan;through Arodi, the Arodite clan; through Areli, the Arelite clan.These were the clans of Gad; those numbered were 40,500.

Now Lot, who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents.

The leader of the people of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur.His division numbers 46,500.The tribe of Simeon will camp next to them. The leader of the people of Simeon is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.His division numbers 59,300.The tribe of Gad will be next. The leader of the people of Gad is Eliasaph son of Deuel.His division numbers 45,650.

Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your inheritance, which lives by itself in a forest, in fertile pasturelands. Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead as in days long ago.

For everything in the world— the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life— comes not from the Father but from the world.

Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben, for she said,“ It is because the Lord has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now.”
