Now the people of Reuben and the people of Gad had a very great number of livestock. And they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, and behold, the place was a place for livestock.

按着家族，迦得的众子：属洗分的，有洗分族；属哈基的，有哈基族；属书尼的，有书尼族；属阿斯尼的，有阿斯尼族；属以利的，有以利族；属亚律的，有亚律族；属亚列利的，有亚列利族。这就是迦得子孙的各族，照他们中间被数的，共有四万零五百名。

与亚伯兰同行的罗得也有牛群、羊群、帐棚。

利亚的使女悉帕给雅各生了一个儿子。利亚说：“万幸！”于是给他起名叫迦得。

以色列的长子是流便。流便的众子：属哈诺的，有哈诺族；属法路的，有法路族；属希斯伦的，有希斯伦族；属迦米的，有迦米族；这就是流便的各族；其中被数的，共有四万三千七百三十名。

我必再领以色列回他的草场，他必在迦密和巴珊吃草，又在以法莲山上和基列境内得以饱足。”

他们的境界是雅谢和基列的各城，并亚扪人的一半地，直到拉巴前的亚罗珥；

罗得举目看见约旦河的全平原，直到琐珥，都是滋润的，那地在耶和华未灭所多玛、蛾摩拉以先如同耶和华的园子，也像埃及地。于是罗得选择约旦河的全平原，往东迁移；他们就彼此分离了。

他们又对法老说：“迦南地的饥荒甚大，仆人的羊群没有草吃，所以我们来到这地寄居。现在求你容仆人住在歌珊地。”

“在南边，按着军队是流便营的纛。有示丢珥的儿子以利蓿作流便人的首领。他军队被数的，共有四万六千五百名。挨着他安营的是西缅支派。苏利沙代的儿子示路蔑作西缅人的首领。他军队被数的，共有五万九千三百名。又有迦得支派。丢珥的儿子以利雅萨作迦得人的首领。他军队被数的，共有四万五千六百五十名，

求耶和华在迦密山的树林中，用你的杖牧放你独居的民，就是你产业的羊群。求你容他们在巴珊和基列得食物，像古时一样。

因为，凡世界上的事，就像肉体的情欲、眼目的情欲，并今生的骄傲，都不是从父来的，乃是从世界来的。

利亚怀孕生子，就给他起名叫流便，因而说：“耶和华看见我的苦情，如今我的丈夫必爱我。”

亚伯兰的金、银、牲畜极多。

又有许多闲杂人，并有羊群牛群，和他们一同上去。

他们过了约旦河，在迦得谷中、城的右边亚罗珥安营，与雅谢相对，
