Now the people of Reuben and the people of Gad had a very great number of livestock. And they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, and behold, the place was a place for livestock.

迦得的子孫有洗分族、哈基族、書尼族、阿斯尼族、以利族、亞律族和亞列利族，共登記了四萬零五百人。

和亞伯蘭同行的羅得也有牛群、羊群和帳篷。

悉帕給雅各生了一個兒子。利亞說：「真幸運！」她便給孩子取名叫迦得。

以色列的長子是呂便，呂便的子孫有哈諾族、法路族、希斯倫族和迦米族，共登記了四萬三千七百三十人。

我要帶領以色列人返回他們的草場，讓他們在迦密和巴珊吃草，在以法蓮和基列的山上吃得飽足。

雅謝和基列境內所有的城邑；亞捫人的一半領土，直到拉巴附近的亞羅珥；

羅得舉目眺望，看見整個約旦河平原，遠至瑣珥，水源充足。在耶和華還沒有毀滅所多瑪和蛾摩拉之前，那地方就好像耶和華的伊甸園，又像埃及。於是，羅得選了整個約旦河平原，向東遷移，他們便分開了。

迦南的饑荒很嚴重，羊群沒有草吃，所以我們到這裡來寄居，求你准許僕人們住在歌珊。」

南邊是呂便營區及其旗號。呂便人的首領是示丟珥的兒子以利蘇，率領四萬六千五百人。在呂便支派旁邊安營的是西緬支派，首領是蘇利沙代的兒子示路蔑，率領五萬九千三百人。然後是迦得支派，首領是丟珥的兒子以利雅薩，率領四萬五千六百五十人。

耶和華啊，求你用你的杖牧放屬於你的羊群，就是你的子民。他們獨自居住在叢林中，住在肥沃的田園間。願他們像從前一樣在巴珊和基列吃草。

凡屬世界的，如肉體的私慾、眼目的私慾和今生的驕傲都不是從天父那裡來的，而是從世界來的。

利亞懷孕生了一個兒子，給孩子取名叫呂便。她說：「耶和華看見了我的痛苦，現在我丈夫一定會愛我。」

這時候亞伯蘭已經擁有很多牲畜和金銀。

同行的還有許多外族人和大群的牛羊。

他們過了約旦河，在谷中亞羅珥城南面安營，又經過迦得前往雅謝。
