制造帐幕和其中的一切器具都要照我所指示你的样式。”

大卫知道扫罗设计谋害他，就对祭司亚比亚他说：“将以弗得拿过来。”

率领我们的是神，我们这里也有神的祭司拿号向你们吹出大声。以色列人哪，不要与耶和华你们列祖的神争战，因你们必不能亨通。”耶罗波安却在犹大人的后头设伏兵。这样，以色列人在犹大人的前头，伏兵在犹大人的后头。犹大人回头观看，见前后都有敌兵，就呼求耶和华，祭司也吹号。于是犹大人呐喊；犹大人呐喊的时候，神就使耶罗波安和以色列众人败在亚比雅与犹大人面前。

从临门帕烈起行，安营在立拿。从立拿起行，安营在勒撒。从勒撒起行，安营在基希拉他。

乌利亚对大卫说：“约柜和以色列与犹大兵都住在棚里，我主约押和我主的仆人都在田野安营，我岂可回家吃喝、与妻子同寝呢？我敢在王面前起誓：我决不行这事！”

报信的回答说：“以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，民中被杀的甚多！你的两个儿子何弗尼、非尼哈也都死了，并且神的约柜被掳去。”

于是百姓打发人到示罗，从那里将坐在二基路伯上万军之耶和华的约柜抬来。以利的两个儿子何弗尼、非尼哈与神的约柜同来。耶和华的约柜到了营中，以色列众人就大声欢呼，地便震动。

七个祭司要拿七个羊角走在约柜前。到第七日，你们要绕城七次，祭司也要吹角。他们吹的角声拖长，你们听见角声，众百姓要大声呼喊，城墙就必塌陷，各人都要往前直上。”嫩的儿子约书亚召了祭司来，吩咐他们说：“你们抬起约柜来，要有七个祭司拿七个羊角走在耶和华的约柜前”；

七个祭司拿七个羊角在耶和华的约柜前，时常行走吹角；带兵器的在他们前面走，后队随着耶和华的约柜行。祭司一面走一面吹。第二日，众人把城绕了一次，就回营里去。六日都是这样行。第七日清早，黎明的时候，他们起来，照样绕城七次；惟独这日把城绕了七次。

那时神的约柜在以色列人那里。扫罗对亚希亚说：“你将神的约柜运了来。”

祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈看见了，就从会中起来，手里拿着枪，跟随那以色列人进亭子里去，便将以色列人和那女人由腹中刺透。这样，在以色列人中瘟疫就止息了。那时遭瘟疫死的，有二万四千人。耶和华晓谕摩西说：“祭司亚伦的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈，使我向以色列人所发的怒消了；因他在他们中间，以我的忌邪为心，使我不在忌邪中把他们除灭。因此，你要说：‘我将我平安的约赐给他。这约要给他和他的后裔，作为永远当祭司职任的约；因他为神有忌邪的心，为以色列人赎罪。’”
