From the Israelites’ half, Moses selected one out of every fifty people and animals, as the Lord commanded him, and gave them to the Levites, who were responsible for the care of the Lord’s tabernacle.

Moses chose one out of every 50 people and animals. He gave them to the Levites. They were accountable for taking care of the Lord’ s holy tent. Moses did just as the Lord had commanded him.

弟兄们，我们劝你们要敬重那些在你们中间劳苦的，就是在主里面督导你们、劝戒你们的人。又因他们所做的工作，要以爱心格外尊重他们。你们也要彼此和睦。

以色列的守望者都瞎了眼，没有知识；都是哑狗，不会吠叫，只知做梦，躺卧，贪睡，这些狗贪食，不知饱足。这些牧人不知明辨，他们都偏行己路，人人追求自己的利益。

你的五谷、新酒和新油的十分之一，或是牛群羊群中头生的，或是你的许愿祭、甘心祭和手中的举祭，都不可在你的城里吃，必须在耶和华—你的上帝面前吃，在耶和华—你上帝所选择的地方，你和儿女、仆婢，以及住在你城里的利未人都可以吃，并要因你手所做的一切，在耶和华—你上帝面前欢乐。你要谨慎，在你所住的地上，你永不可离弃利未人。

“至于利未的子孙，看哪，我已赐给他们以色列所有出产的十分之一为业，作为他们在会幕中事奉的酬劳。以色列人不可再挨近会幕，免得他们担当罪而死。惟独利未人要在会幕中事奉，他们要担当罪孽，作为你们世世代代永远的定例。他们在以色列人中不可有产业；因为以色列人出产的十分之一，就是献给耶和华为举祭的，我已赐给利未人为业。所以我对他们说，他们不可在以色列人中有产业。”

来，称颂耶和华！夜间侍立在耶和华殿中，耶和华的仆人，

这些事以后，主另外指定七十二个人，差遣他们两个两个地在他前面，往自己所要到的各城各地去。他对他们说：“要收的庄稼多，做工的人少。所以，你们要求庄稼的主差遣做工的人出去收他的庄稼。你们去吧！看！我差你们出去，如同羔羊进入狼群。不要带钱囊，不要带行囊，不要带鞋子；在路上也不要向人问安。无论进哪一家，先要说：‘愿这一家平安。’那里若有当得平安的人，你们所求的平安就必临到那家，不然，将归还你们。你们要住在那家，吃喝他们所供给的，因为工人得工钱是应当的；不要从这家搬到那家。无论进哪一城，人若接待你们，给你们摆上什么食物，你们就吃什么。
