And Moses gave the tribute,[ which was] the LORD’S heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.

Moses gave the tribute to Eleazar the priest as the Lord’s part, as the Lord commanded Moses.

And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever.

All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it[ is] a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Take[ it] of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest,[ for] an heave offering of the LORD.And of the children of Israel’s half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

Or saith he[ it] altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt,[ this] is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.If we have sown unto you spiritual things,[ is it] a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?If others be partakers of[ this] power over you,[ are] not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live[ of the things] of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

Nor scrip for[ your] journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood,( for under it the people received the law,) what further need[ was there] that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Now consider how great this man[ was], unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.
