Moses gave the tribute to Eleazar the priest as the Lord’s part, as the Lord commanded Moses.

耶和华晓谕亚伦说：“我已将归我的举祭，就是以色列人一切分别为圣的物，交给你经管；因你受过膏，把这些都赐给你和你的子孙，当作永得的份。

凡以色列人所献给耶和华圣物中的举祭，我都赐给你和你的儿女，当作永得的份。这是给你和你的后裔、在耶和华面前作为永远的盐约。”

那善于管理教会的长老，当以为配受加倍的敬奉；那劳苦传道教导人的，更当如此。

从他们一半之中，要取出来交给祭司以利亚撒，作为耶和华的举祭。从以色列人的一半之中，就是从人口、牛、驴、羊群、各样牲畜中，每五十取一，交给看守耶和华帐幕的利未人。”于是摩西和祭司以利亚撒照耶和华所吩咐摩西的行了。

不全是为我们说的吗？分明是为我们说的。因为耕种的当存着指望去耕种；打场的也当存得粮的指望去打场。我们若把属灵的种子撒在你们中间，就是从你们收割奉养肉身之物，这还算大事吗？若别人在你们身上有这权柄，何况我们呢？然而，我们没有用过这权柄，倒凡事忍受，免得基督的福音被阻隔。你们岂不知为圣事劳碌的就吃殿中的物吗？伺候祭坛的就分领坛上的物吗？主也是这样命定，叫传福音的靠着福音养生。

行路不要带口袋；不要带两件褂子，也不要带鞋和拐杖。因为工人得饮食是应当的。

并且可说那受十分之一的利未，也是藉着亚伯拉罕纳了十分之一。因为麦基洗德迎接亚伯拉罕的时候，利未已经在他先祖的身中。从前百姓在利未人祭司职任以下受律法，倘若藉这职任能得完全，又何用另外兴起一位祭司，照麦基洗德的等次，不照亚伦的等次呢？祭司的职任既已更改，律法也必须更改。

你们想一想，先祖亚伯拉罕将自己所掳来上等之物取十分之一给他，这人是何等尊贵呢！那得祭司职任的利未子孙，领命照例向百姓取十分之一，这百姓是自己的弟兄，虽是从亚伯拉罕身中生的，还是照例取十分之一。独有麦基洗德，不与他们同谱，倒收纳亚伯拉罕的十分之一，为那蒙应许的亚伯拉罕祝福。

在道理上受教的，当把一切需用的供给施教的人。

以色列人一切的圣物中，所奉给祭司的举祭都要归与祭司。
