And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

To me[ belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in[ due] time: for the day of their calamity[ is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.

And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god hath delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of us.

Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew[ water], and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full[ of years]; and was gathered to his people.

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance[ belongeth] unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

And these[ are] the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.

Now the name of the Israelite that was slain,[ even] that was slain with the Midianitish woman,[ was] Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain[ was] Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he[ was] head over a people,[ and] of a chief house in Midian.And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Vex the Midianites, and smite them:For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor’s sake.

And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with[ all his] might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that[ were] therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than[ they] which he slew in his life.

God[ is] jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and[ is] furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth[ wrath] for his enemies.

That no[ man] go beyond and defraud his brother in[ any] matter: because that the Lord[ is] the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name[ was] Keturah.And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these[ were] the children of Keturah.

Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.

For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to[ execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.

And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but[ rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance[ is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:

And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered[ unto his people], and shall die there.

For true and righteous[ are] his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who[ were] weeping[ before] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Rejoice over her,[ thou] heaven, and[ ye] holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
