他們離棄了正路，走入歧途，隨從比珥的兒子巴蘭的路；巴蘭就是那貪愛不義的工錢的人，

然而，有幾件事我要責備你，就是在你那裏有人服從了巴蘭的教訓；這巴蘭曾教唆巴勒將絆腳石放在以色列人面前，使他們吃祭過偶像之物，並且犯淫亂。

你們已親眼看見耶和華因巴力‧毗珥所做的。凡隨從巴力‧毗珥的人，耶和華－你的上帝都從你中間除滅了。

妓女是深坑，外邦女子是窄井。

我發現有一種婦人比死還苦毒：她本身是陷阱，她的心是羅網，手是鎖鏈。凡蒙上帝喜愛的人必能躲開她；有罪的人卻被她纏住了。
