Moses said to them,“ Have you allowed all the women to live?

摩西对他们说：“你们让这些妇女存活吗？

對他們說：「你們要存留這一切婦女的活命嗎？

說：「你們為什麼讓這些婦女活著？

摩西對他們說：“你們讓這些婦女存活嗎？

對他們說：『你們讓這一切女的都活着麼？

爾生存眾婦乎、

曰、奚拯眾婦、存其生乎。

謂之曰、爾何為存留婦女、

“ Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them.

“ Have you let all the women remain alive?” Moses asked them.

Moses said to them,“ Have you let all the women live?

“ Why have you let all the women live?” he demanded.

“ Have you let every female live?” he asked them.

And Moses said to them,“ Have you spared all the women?

And Moses said to them:“ Have you kept all the women alive?

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

“ Have you let every female live?” he asked them.

And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

Moses said to them,“ Have you saved all the women alive?

So go now and strike down the Amalekites. Destroy everything that they have. Don’t spare them. Put them to death– man, woman, child, infant, ox, sheep, camel, and donkey alike.’”

At that time we seized all his cities and put every one of them under divine judgment, including even the women and children; we left no survivors.

A curse on anyone who is lax in doing the LORD’s work! A curse on anyone who keeps from carrying out his destruction!

The Israelites plundered all the goods of these cities and the cattle, but they totally destroyed all the people and allowed no one who breathed to live.

Joshua defeated the whole land, including the hill country, the Negev, the lowlands, the slopes, and all their kings. He left no survivors. He annihilated everything that breathed, just as the LORD God of Israel had commanded.

Twelve thousand men and women died that day, including all the men of Ai.

They annihilated with the sword everything that breathed in the city, including men and women, young and old, as well as cattle, sheep, and donkeys.

As for the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God is going to give you as an inheritance, you must not allow a single living thing to survive.Instead you must utterly annihilate them– the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites– just as the LORD your God has commanded you,so that they cannot teach you all the abhorrent ways they worship their gods, causing you to sin against the LORD your God.

Old men, young men, young women, little children, and women– wipe them out! But do not touch anyone who has the mark. Begin at my sanctuary!” So they began with the elders who were at the front of the temple.

The LORD your God will deliver it over to you and you must kill every single male by the sword.

O daughter Babylon, soon to be devastated! How blessed will be the one who repays you for what you dished out to us!How blessed will be the one who grabs your babies and smashes them on a rock!
