耶和华对摩西说：“你要数点以色列人中凡一个月以上头生的男子，登记他们的名字。

“你要照父家、宗族计算利未人。凡一个月以上的男子都要数点。”

就站在营门前，说：“凡属耶和华的人，都到我这里来！”于是利未人都聚集到他那里。他对他们说：“耶和华—以色列的上帝这样说：‘你们各人把刀佩在腰间，从这门到那门，来回走遍全营，各人要杀自己的弟兄、邻舍和亲人。’”利未人遵照摩西的话做了。那一天百姓中倒下的约有三千人。摩西说：“今天你们要奉献自己来事奉耶和华，因为各人牺牲自己的儿子和弟兄，使耶和华今天赐福给你们。”

主以公平的灵和焚烧的灵洗净锡安居民的污秽，又除净在耶路撒冷流人血的罪。那时，剩在锡安、留在耶路撒冷的，就是一切住耶路撒冷、在生命册上记名的，必称为圣。

“你要拣选利未人代替所有头生的以色列人，也要取利未人的牲畜代替以色列人的牲畜。利未人要归我，我是耶和华。

“看哪，我从以色列人中选了利未人，代替以色列人中所有头胎的长子；利未人要归我。

有名字记录在天上众长子的盛会，有审判众人的上帝和成为完全的义人的灵魂，

然而，不要因灵服了你们就欢喜，而要因你们的名记录在天上欢喜。”

当耶和华记录万民的时候，他要写出人的出生地。（细拉）

然而，上帝坚固的根基屹立不移；上面有这印记说：“主认得他自己的人”，又说：“凡称呼主名的人总要离开不义。”

得胜的必这样穿白衣，我也不从生命册上涂去他的名；我要在我父面前，和我父的众使者面前，宣认他的名。

我也求你这真实同负一轭的，要帮助这两个女人，因为她们在福音上曾与我、革利免和我其余的同工一同劳苦，他们的名字都在生命册上。

这些人未曾沾染妇女，他们原是童身。羔羊无论往哪里去，他们都跟随他。他们是从人间买来的，作为初熟的果子归给上帝和羔羊。
