永恆主對摩西說：『你要點閱以色列人中一切頭胎的男子、從一個月和以上的，登記他們名字的數目。

『你要將利未人、按他們父系的家屬、按宗族點閱點閱；一切男的、從一個月和以上的、你都要點閱。』

摩西就站在營門中說：『誰屬永恆主的、都要到我這裏來』；於是利未的子孫都聚攏到他那裏。他對他們說：『永恆主以色列的上帝這麼說：「你們各人要把自己的刀佩在大腿邊，在營中來回地走，從這大門到那大門；各人要殺他的弟兄、他的同伴、和鄰近的人。」』利未人的子孫照摩西的話去行；那一天之內人民中倒斃的、約有三千人。摩西說：『今天你們授聖職與自己歸永恆主了，因為各人犧牲了自己的兒子或弟兄，好使今天有祝福給予你們。』

主用審判之靈、燒燬之靈將錫安女子的污穢洗去，將耶路撒冷之中殺人的血涮淨，那時剩在錫安、留在耶路撒冷的人、凡蒙記錄為該存活於耶路撒冷的、必稱為聖。

『你要取利未人來代替以色列人中一切頭胎的，也取利未人的牲口來代替以色列人的牲口：利未人要屬我，我永恆主。

『看哪，我本身從以色列人中取了利未人、來代替以色列人中一切頭胎的長子，利未人是要歸我的。

有名錄在天上諸首生者的歡樂盛會或總聚會、有審判主、萬人的上帝、有已得完全的義人之靈、

然而不要因靈順服了你們而歡喜，卻要因你們的名字記錄在天上而歡喜。』

永恆主在萬族之民戶籍冊上記着：『這一位是生於那裏的。』（細拉）

但上帝堅固的根基已經立定，有着以下這印記說：『主認識屬他的人』；『凡稱呼主名的人應當離開不義。』

得勝的必這樣披着白衣；我決不從生命冊上擦掉他的名；我必在我父面前、和我父的眾使者面前、承認他的名。

是的，我也求你、真的負軛同伴哪，你要協助這兩個婦人歸於一致；因為她們在福音上曾經和我、也同革利免和我其餘的同工、共同競鬥；他們的名字都在生命冊上。

這些人是沒有同婦女在一起而沾染污穢的；他們是童身。這些人是無論羔羊往哪裏去、都跟從羔羊的。這些人是從人間買出來、做初熟果子獻與上帝和羔羊的。
