And the guard duty of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting involved the tabernacle, the tent with its covering, the screen for the entrance of the tent of meeting,

According to all that I shew thee,[ after] the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make[ it].

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy,[ let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith;Or ministry,[ let us wait] on[ our] ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth,[ let him do it] with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

And every wise hearted man among them that wrought the work of the tabernacle made ten curtains[ of] fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet:[ with] cherubims of cunning work made he them.The length of one curtain[ was] twenty and eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: the curtains[ were] all of one size.And he coupled the five curtains one unto another: and[ the other] five curtains he coupled one unto another.And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling: likewise he made in the uttermost side of[ another] curtain, in the coupling of the second.Fifty loops made he in one curtain, and fifty loops made he in the edge of the curtain which[ was] in the coupling of the second: the loops held one[ curtain] to another.And he made fifty taches of gold, and coupled the curtains one unto another with the taches: so it became one tabernacle.And he made curtains[ of] goats’[ hair] for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made them.The length of one curtain[ was] thirty cubits, and four cubits[ was] the breadth of one curtain: the eleven curtains[ were] of one size.And he coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves.And he made fifty loops upon the uttermost edge of the curtain in the coupling, and fifty loops made he upon the edge of the curtain which coupleth the second.And he made fifty taches[ of] brass to couple the tent together, that it might be one.And he made a covering for the tent[ of] rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering[ of] badgers’ skins above[ that].

[ As concerning] the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers,[ even] of Laadan the Gershonite,[ were] Jehieli.The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother,[ which were] over the treasures of the house of the LORD.

And thou shalt make an hanging for the door of the tent,[ of] blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework.And thou shalt make for the hanging five pillars[ of] shittim[ wood], and overlay them with gold,[ and] their hooks[ shall be of] gold: and thou shalt cast five sockets of brass for them.

And he made an hanging for the tabernacle door[ of] blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, of needlework;And the five pillars of it with their hooks: and he overlaid their chapiters and their fillets with gold: but their five sockets[ were of] brass.

And I said unto them, Ye[ are] holy unto the LORD; the vessels[ are] holy also; and the silver and the gold[ are] a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.Watch ye, and keep[ them], until ye weigh[ them] before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the LORD.So took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring[ them] to Jerusalem unto the house of our God.

And he set up the hanging[ at] the door of the tabernacle.

And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

This[ is] the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens:And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers’ skins that[ is] above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which[ is] by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.This[ is] the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge[ shall be] under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

Then Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared[ them],And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated[ things] faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite[ was] ruler, and Shimei his brother[ was] the next.And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah,[ were] overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter toward the east,[ was] over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the most holy things.And next him[ were] Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in[ their] set office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the small:Beside their genealogy of males, from three years old and upward,[ even] unto every one that entereth into the house of the LORD, his daily portion for their service in their charges according to their courses;Both to the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their charges by their courses;And to the genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their set office they sanctified themselves in holiness:

And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle.

And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.

And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy[ place], and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the LORD.

And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of the LORD.

[ For the Son of man is] as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

And of the Levites; Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;And Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;And Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.And the porters[ were], Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum[ was] the chief;Who hitherto[ waited] in the king’s gate eastward: they[ were] porters in the companies of the children of Levi.And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites,[ were] over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers,[ being] over the host of the LORD,[ were] keepers of the entry.And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past,[ and] the LORD[ was] with him.[ And] Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah[ was] porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.All these[ which were] chosen to be porters in the gates[ were] two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.So they and their children[ had] the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD,[ namely], the house of the tabernacle, by wards.In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.And their brethren,[ which were] in their villages,[ were] to come after seven days from time to time with them.For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in[ their] set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge[ was] upon them, and the opening thereof every morning[ pertained] to them.And[ certain] of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.[ Some] of them also[ were] appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.And[ some] of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.And Mattithiah,[ one] of the Levites, who[ was] the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.And[ other] of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites,[ were] over the shewbread, to prepare[ it] every sabbath.And these[ are] the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites,[ who remaining] in the chambers[ were] free: for they were employed in[ that] work day and night.

Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle[ with] ten curtains[ of] fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet:[ with] cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them.The length of one curtain[ shall be] eight and twenty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and every one of the curtains shall have one measure.The five curtains shall be coupled together one to another; and[ other] five curtains[ shall be] coupled one to another.And thou shalt make loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling; and likewise shalt thou make in the uttermost edge of[ another] curtain, in the coupling of the second.Fifty loops shalt thou make in the one curtain, and fifty loops shalt thou make in the edge of the curtain that[ is] in the coupling of the second; that the loops may take hold one of another.And thou shalt make fifty taches of gold, and couple the curtains together with the taches: and it shall be one tabernacle.And thou shalt make curtains[ of] goats’[ hair] to be a covering upon the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make.The length of one curtain[ shall be] thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and the eleven curtains[ shall be all] of one measure.And thou shalt couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shalt double the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tabernacle.And thou shalt make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain[ that is] outmost in the coupling, and fifty loops in the edge of the curtain which coupleth the second.And thou shalt make fifty taches of brass, and put the taches into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.And the remnant that remaineth of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remaineth, shall hang over the backside of the tabernacle.And a cubit on the one side, and a cubit on the other side of that which remaineth in the length of the curtains of the tent, it shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.And thou shalt make a covering for the tent[ of] rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering above[ of] badgers’ skins.

And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
