“‘ On the day of firstfruits, when you present to the Lord an offering of new grain during the Festival of Weeks, hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.

“‘ On the day you gather the first share of your crops, present to the Lord an offering of your first grain. Do it during the Feast of Weeks. Come together for a special service. Do not do any regular work.

“ On the day of the firstfruits, when you offer a grain offering of new grain to the Lord at your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work,

“ At the Festival of Harvest, when you present the first of your new grain to the Lord, you must call an official day for holy assembly, and you may do no ordinary work on that day.

“ On the day of firstfruits, you are to hold a sacred assembly when you present an offering of new grain to the LORD at your Festival of Weeks; you are not to do any daily work.

‘ Also on the day of the firstfruits, when you bring a new grain offering to the Lord at your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work.

Also in the day of the first- fruits, when ye offer a new meal- offering unto Jehovah in your feast of weeks, ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work;

“ On the day of firstfruits, you are to hold a sacred assembly when you present an offering of new grain to the Lord at your Festival of Weeks; you are not to do any daily work.

Also you shall keep the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your labors from what you sow in the field; also the Feast of the Ingathering at the end of the year when you gather in the fruit of your labors from the field.

And you shall celebrate the Feast of Weeks, that is, the first fruits of the wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the turn of the year.

“ Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them,‘ When you enter the land which I am going to give to you and you gather its harvest, then you shall bring in the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest.

‘ You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering; there shall be seven complete Sabbaths.You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall present a new grain offering to the Lord.You shall bring in from your dwelling places two loaves of bread as a wave offering, made of two tenths of an ephah; they shall be of a fine flour, baked with leaven as first fruits to the Lord.Along with the bread you shall present seven one year old male lambs without defect, and a bull of the herd and two rams; they are to be a burnt offering to the Lord, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the Lord.You shall also offer one male goat as a sin offering, and two male lambs one year old as a sacrifice of peace offerings.The priest shall then wave them with the bread of the first fruits as a wave offering with two lambs before the Lord; they are to be holy to the Lord for the priest.On this very day you shall make a proclamation as well; you are to have a holy convocation. You shall do no laborious work. It is to be a permanent statute in all your dwelling places throughout your generations.

“ You shall count seven weeks for yourself; you shall begin to count seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain.Then you shall celebrate the Feast of Weeks to the Lord your God with a voluntary offering of your hand in a proportional amount, which you shall give just as the Lord your God blesses you;and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you, your son and your daughter, and your male and female slaves, and the Levite who is in your town, and the stranger, the orphan, and the widow who are in your midst, at the place where the Lord your God chooses to establish His name.

On the first day there shall be a holy assembly; you shall do no laborious work.

In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.

But the fact is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.

When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.And suddenly a noise like a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.And tongues that looked like fire appeared to them, distributing themselves, and a tongue rested on each one of them.And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with different tongues, as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out.Now there were Jews residing in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven.And when this sound occurred, the crowd came together and they were bewildered, because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language.They were amazed and astonished, saying,“ Why, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?And how is it that we each hear them in our own language to which we were born?Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya around Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,Cretans and Arabs— we hear them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty deeds of God.”And they all continued in amazement and great perplexity, saying to one another,“ What does this mean?”But others were jeering and saying,“ They are full of sweet wine!”
