看哪，所有的生命都是属我的；父亲的生命怎样属我，儿子的生命也照样属我；然而犯罪的，他必定死。

我—耶和华说过，我必这样对待这一切聚集对抗我的邪恶会众。他们必在这旷野中消灭，死在这里。”

所以，正如罪藉着死掌权；照样，恩典也藉着义掌权，使人因我们的主耶稣基督得永生。

以利押的儿子是尼母利、大坍、亚比兰。这大坍、亚比兰，就是从会中选出来，当可拉一伙的人向耶和华争闹的时候，一起向摩西、亚伦争闹的；地开了裂口，吞了他们和可拉，可拉一伙的人也一同死亡。当时火吞灭了二百五十个人；他们就成为鉴戒。

利未的曾孙，哥辖的孙子，以斯哈的儿子可拉，连同吕便子孙中以利押的儿子大坍和亚比兰，与比勒的儿子安，带了以色列人中的二百五十个领袖，就是有名望、从会众中选出来的人，在摩西面前一同起来，聚集攻击摩西、亚伦，说：“你们太过分了！全会众人人都成为圣，耶和华也在他们中间。你们为什么抬高自己，在耶和华的会众之上呢？”

地开了裂口，把他们和他们的家眷，以及一切属可拉的人和财物，都吞了下去。他们和一切属他们的，都活活坠落阴间；地在他们上面又合拢起来，他们就从会众中灭亡了。在他们四围的以色列众人听见他们的叫声，就都逃跑，说：“恐怕地也要把我们吞下去了！”有火从耶和华那里出来，吞灭了那上香的二百五十人。

所以我对你们说，你们会死在自己的罪中，你们若不信我就是那位，就会死在自己的罪中。”

除了因可拉事件死的以外，遭瘟疫死的共有一万四千七百人。

因为罪的工价乃是死；惟有上帝的恩赐，在我们的主基督耶稣里，乃是永生。

于是耶稣又对他们说：“我去了，你们会找我，而你们会死在自己的罪中；我所去的地方，你们不能去。”

可拉召集全会众到会幕门口攻击摩西和亚伦。这时，耶和华的荣光向全会众显现。

希弗的儿子西罗非哈没有儿子，只有女儿。西罗非哈的女儿的名字是玛拉、挪阿、曷拉、密迦、得撒。

为此，正如罪是从一人进入世界，死又从罪而来，于是死就临到所有的人，因为人人都犯了罪。
