但被數的人中，沒有一個是摩西和祭司亞倫從前在西奈的曠野所數的以色列人，因為耶和華論到他們說：「他們必要死在曠野。」所以，除了耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞以外，連一個人也沒有存留。

看哪，世人都是屬我的；為父的怎樣屬我，為子的也照樣屬我；犯罪的，他必死亡。

我－耶和華說過，我總要這樣待這一切聚集敵我的惡會眾；他們必在這曠野消滅，在這裏死亡。』」

就如罪作王叫人死；照樣，恩典也藉着義作王，叫人因我們的主耶穌基督得永生。

以利押的眾子是尼母利、大坍、亞比蘭。這大坍、亞比蘭，就是從會中選召的，與可拉一黨同向耶和華爭鬧的時候也向摩西、亞倫爭鬧；地便開口吞了他們，和可拉、可拉的黨類一同死亡。那時火燒滅了二百五十個人；他們就作了警戒。

利未的曾孫、哥轄的孫子、以斯哈的兒子可拉，和呂便子孫中以利押的兒子大坍、亞比蘭，與比勒的兒子安，並以色列會中的二百五十個首領，就是有名望選入會中的人，在摩西面前一同起來，聚集攻擊摩西、亞倫，說：「你們擅自專權！全會眾個個既是聖潔，耶和華也在他們中間，你們為甚麼自高，超過耶和華的會眾呢？」

把他們和他們的家眷，並一切屬可拉的人丁、財物，都吞下去。這樣，他們和一切屬他們的，都活活地墜落陰間；地口在他們上頭照舊合閉，他們就從會中滅亡。在他們四圍的以色列眾人聽他們呼號，就都逃跑，說：「恐怕地也把我們吞下去。」又有火從耶和華那裏出來，燒滅了那獻香的二百五十個人。

所以我對你們說，你們要死在罪中。你們若不信我是基督，必要死在罪中。」

除了因可拉事情死的以外，遭瘟疫死的，共有一萬四千七百人。

因為罪的工價乃是死；惟有神的恩賜，在我們的主基督耶穌裏，乃是永生。

耶穌又對他們說：「我要去了，你們要找我，並且你們要死在罪中。我所去的地方，你們不能到。」

可拉招聚全會眾到會幕門前，要攻擊摩西、亞倫；耶和華的榮光就向全會眾顯現。

希弗的兒子：西羅非哈沒兒子，只有女兒。西羅非哈女兒的名字就是瑪拉、挪阿、曷拉、密迦、得撒。

這就如罪是從一人入了世界，死又是從罪來的，於是死就臨到眾人，因為眾人都犯了罪。
