罪怎樣掌權帶來死亡，恩典也照樣藉著義掌權，為要藉著我們主耶穌基督帶來永生。

以利押的兒子是尼姆利、大坍和亞比蘭。大坍、亞比蘭原是會眾所推選的首領，他們與可拉一夥一起反叛摩西和亞倫，反叛耶和華，以致大地裂開將他們全部吞了下去，當時大火還燒滅了二百五十人——成了後人的警戒。

可拉是利未的曾孫、哥轄的孫子、以斯哈的兒子。他跟呂便支派以利押的兩個兒子大坍和亞比蘭以及比勒的兒子安心中狂妄，聯合二百五十名在以色列會眾中有聲望的首領反叛摩西，一起攻擊摩西和亞倫，說：「你們太過分了！全體會眾都是聖潔的，有耶和華住在他們當中，你們憑什麼將自己置於耶和華的會眾之上？」

吞下了他們和他們的家眷及所有可拉一夥的人和財物。他們和屬於他們的一切就這樣活活地墜入陰間，地在他們上面合攏起來，他們就從會眾中滅亡了。他們四圍的以色列人聽到他們的喊叫聲，紛紛逃跑，生怕自己也被吞下去。耶和華又降下烈火，燒死了那二百五十個獻香的人。

所以我說你們將死在自己的罪中，你們如果不相信我就是那一位，一定會死在自己的罪中。」

除了在可拉事件中死亡的人以外，當天有一萬四千七百人死於瘟疫。

因為罪的代價就是死亡，而上帝藉著主基督耶穌賜下的禮物則是永生。

耶穌又對他們說：「我要走了，你們會尋找我，你們將死在自己的罪中。我去的地方，你們不能去。」

可拉把全體會眾招聚到會幕門口，要對付摩西和亞倫。這時，耶和華的榮光向會眾顯現。

希弗的兒子西羅非哈沒有兒子，只有女兒瑪拉、挪阿、曷拉、密迦和得撒。

因此，罪怎樣從一個人進入世界並帶來了死亡，死亡也怎樣臨到了全人類，因為全人類都犯了罪。
