He is to stand before Eleazar the priest, who will obtain decisions for him by inquiring of the Urim before the Lord. At his command he and the entire community of the Israelites will go out, and at his command they will come in.”

Joshua will stand in front of Eleazar the priest. Eleazar will help him make decisions. Eleazar will get help from me by using the Urim. Joshua and the whole community of Israel must not make any move at all unless I command them to.”

And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the Lord. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the people of Israel with him, the whole congregation.”

When direction from the Lord is needed, Joshua will stand before Eleazar the priest, who will use the Urim— one of the sacred lots cast before the Lord— to determine his will. This is how Joshua and the rest of the community of Israel will determine everything they should do.”

He will stand before the priest Eleazar who will consult the LORD for him with the decision of the Urim. He and all the Israelites with him, even the entire community, will go out and come back in at his command.”

亞希米勒為之諮諏耶和華、且給以食、以非利士人歌利亞之劍予之、王遂遣人召祭司亞希突子亞希米勒、與其父家、在挪伯為祭司者、咸至王所、掃羅曰、亞希突子宜聽我言、曰、我主、我在此、掃羅曰、爾與耶西之子、同謀攻我、給之以餅、予之以劍、為之諮諏上帝、致彼伏以害我、有如今日、何也、亞希米勒對曰、大衛乃王之壻、進為謀臣、尊於王室、諸臣僕中、忠孰如之、我為之諮諏上帝、豈自今日始耶、決不為此、王勿罪僕、與我父家、此事鉅細、僕俱不知、

上至耶和華前、哭泣至暮、諮諏耶和華曰、我可再與昆弟便雅憫人戰否、耶和華曰、可往攻之、

出入其前、導之往返、免耶和華會眾、猶羊之無牧、

大衛謂祭司亞希米勒子亞比亞他曰、請攜聖衣至、亞比亞他遂攜之至、

論利未則曰、耶和華歟、爾之土明烏陵、與爾聖者偕、爾於瑪撒試之、於米利巴水與之爭、

大衛知掃羅蓄謀害己、遂謂祭司亞比亞他曰、攜聖衣至、

以色列人起、往伯特利、諮諏上帝曰、與便雅憫人戰、我中誰當先往、耶和華曰、猶大先往、

約書亞卒後、以色列人諮諏耶和華曰、孰可先往、為我攻迦南人、與之戰、

方伯曰、至聖之物、彼不可食、迨至有烏陵土明之祭司起、

以色列民眾、上至伯特利哭泣、坐於耶和華前、禁食至暮、獻燔祭及酬恩祭於耶和華、時、上帝約匱在彼、亞倫孫、以利亞撒子非尼哈、侍於其前、以色列人諮諏耶和華曰、我可復出、與我昆弟便雅憫人戰乎、抑止乎、耶和華曰、往哉、明日我必付之爾手、

亦予補服、置烏陵土明於其中、
