Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

「耶和華啊，你是賜人生命的上帝，求你立一個人做會眾的首領，

“願耶和華萬人之靈的神，立一個人治理會眾，

『願永恆主萬人之靈的上帝立一個人來治理會眾，

請耶和華、世人諸神之上帝、簡立一人、統轄會眾、

耶和華上帝乎、爾以生氣賜於億兆、請立一人、統轄會眾、

天主耶和華、賜生氣於一切身軀者、或作天主耶和華賜生命於凡有血氣者求立一人治理此會、

“ May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community

“ Lord, you are the God who gives life and breath to all living things. Please put someone in charge of this community.

“ Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation

“ O Lord, you are the God who gives breath to all creatures. Please appoint a new man as leader for the community.

“ May the LORD, the God who gives breath to all, appoint a man over the community

“ May the Lord, the God of the spirits of humanity, appoint a man over the congregation,

“ Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

“ May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the community

Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

“ Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all humankind, appoint a man over the community,

“ Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them out.As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places whither they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country.I will feed them with good pasture; and upon the mountains of the height of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold; and on fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord Jehovah.I will seek that which was lost, and will bring back that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but the fat and the strong I will destroy; I will feed them in justice.

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth laborers into his harvest.

And, behold, I purpose to build a house for the name of Jehovah my God, as Jehovah spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build the house for my name.

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep.

Take heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit hath made you bishops, to feed the church of the Lord which he purchased with his own blood.

Now therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have asked for: and, behold, Jehovah hath set a king over you.

And I will give you shepherds according to my heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

Tend the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not of constraint, but willingly, according to the will of God; nor yet for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;neither as lording it over the charge allotted to you, but making yourselves ensamples to the flock.And when the chief Shepherd shall be manifested, ye shall receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.

And my servant David shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in mine ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them.

And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

And I will set up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be lacking, saith Jehovah.Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Behold, thy days approach that thou must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tent of meeting, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tent of meeting.
