耶和華對摩西說：「你上亞巴琳山去眺望我賜給以色列人的土地。

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Go up this mountain in the Abarim Range and see the land I have given the Israelites.

The Lord said to Moses,“ Go up into this mountain of Abarim and see the land that I have given to the people of Israel.

One day the Lord said to Moses,“ Climb one of the mountains east of the river, and look out over the land I have given the people of Israel.

Then the LORD said to Moses,“ Go up this mountain of the Abarim range and see the land that I have given the Israelites.

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mountain of Abarim, and behold the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.

從亞門·低比拉太音啟行，至尼波對面的亞巴琳山紮營；從亞巴琳山啟行，至耶利哥對面、約旦河邊的摩押平原紮營。

當天，耶和華對摩西說：「你去耶利哥對面的摩押，登上亞巴琳山區的尼波山，觀看我要賜給以色列人作產業的迦南。之後，你會死在山上，歸到你祖先那裡，如亞倫在何珥山離世歸祖一樣。因為在荀曠野，在加低斯的米利巴泉旁，你和亞倫對我不忠，沒有在以色列人中尊我為聖。所以，你只能遠遠地觀看我要賜給以色列人的土地，卻不能進去。」

摩西從摩押平原登上尼波山，上到耶利哥對面的毗斯迦山頂。耶和華把整片土地指給他看，從基列一直到但，拿弗他利全境、以法蓮和瑪拿西地區，遠至地中海的猶大全境，南地和棕櫚城耶利哥的谷地，遠至瑣珥。耶和華對摩西說：「這便是我向亞伯拉罕、以撒和雅各起誓要賜給他們子孫的土地。現在我讓你親眼看到了，但你不能進入。」

「那時，我懇求耶和華，說，『主耶和華啊，你已向僕人彰顯你的偉大和權能，天上地下沒有神明可與你相比！求你讓我過去看看約旦河那邊的佳美之地——那美好的山區和黎巴嫩。』但因你們的緣故，耶和華向我發怒，不聽我的懇求，祂對我說，『夠了，不要再跟我提這件事。你可以上毗斯迦山頂，向東南西北眺望，但你不可過約旦河。
