若無叔伯、則以其業歸族中親屬、使可嗣之、以色列人當守此為例、循主所命摩西者、○

If his father had no brothers, give his inheritance to the nearest relative in his clan, that he may possess it. This is to have the force of law for the Israelites, as the Lord commanded Moses.’”

Suppose his father doesn’t have any brothers. Then give his property to the nearest male relative in his family group. It will belong to him. That is what the law will require of the Israelites. It is just as the Lord commanded me.’ ”

And if his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to the nearest kinsman of his clan, and he shall possess it. And it shall be for the people of Israel a statute and rule, as the Lord commanded Moses.’”

以此著為定例、歷世勿替、隨往勿易。

未幾、我叔之子哈拿滅、至外獄見我、應耶和華言、彼謂我曰、便雅憫地、亞拿突邑、我有田畝、所當贖者、惟爾一人、請為我贖之、業可歸爾、我聽此、知耶和華所使、

語戚屬曰、由摩押而歸之拿阿米、欲鬻我同儕以利米力田。我意當告爾、使爾於邑人長老前購之、所當贖者、惟爾一人、爾外惟我、如爾欲贖之則贖、不然明以相告。其人曰、我將贖焉。波士曰爾欲購田、必購於拿阿米、亦必娶死者之遺婦、摩押女路得、育嗣而承業、以繼死者之名。戚屬曰、我不能贖恐我之業反有所害、爾贖可也。

或叔伯、或叔伯之子、或同族、俱可贖之、如己有餘、足以自贖、自贖亦可。

浸假宗族貧乏、鬻其田疇、親戚贖之亦可。

當日大闢以為定例、行於以色列族中、越至於今、亦遵是例。
