You will die in this desert. Every one of you 20 years old or more will die. Every one of you who was counted in the list of the people will die. Every one of you who has spoken out against me will be wiped out.

But God was not pleased with most of them. Their bodies were scattered in the desert.

Who was God angry with for 40 years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned? They died in the desert.

The Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting. It happened in the Desert of Sinai. The Lord spoke to him on the first day of the second month. It was the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. The Lord said,“ Count all the men of Israel. Make a list of them by their tribes and families. List every man by name. List them one by one.
