在你城內的利未人、你不可丟棄他，因為利未人不同你一樣有分有業。『每三年的末一年、你要將你那年的出產全部的十分之一取出來，存放在你的城內；那麼利未人（因為利未人不同你一樣有分有業）、以及在你城內的寄居者和孤兒寡婦、就可以來喫，並且喫得飽足；好使永恆主你的上帝在你手所作的一切事上、賜福與你。

他們被點閱的、有八千五百八十人。

革順子孫一切的事務、他們在所應當抬、應當辦的事務上、都要照亞倫和他兒子們所吩咐的：他們所應當抬的、你都要將職守派給他們。

惟獨利未人、按他們父系的支派、沒有被點閱於其中。
