So Moses spoke to Israel’s judges. He said,“ Some of your people have joined in worshiping the god named Baal that is worshiped at Peor. Each of you must kill the people in your tribe who have done that.”

于是摩西吩咐以色列的审判官说：“凡属你们的人，有与巴力毗珥连合的，你们各人要把他们杀了。”

于是摩西对以色列的审判官说：“你们的人若有与巴力‧毗珥联合的，你们各人就要把他们杀了。”

于是摩西对以色列的审判官说：“你们的人若有与巴力‧毗珥联合的，你们各人就要把他们杀了。”

于是，摩西对以色列的审判官说：“你们各自把权下与巴力·毗珥苟合的人处死。”

于是摩西对以色列的审判官说：“你们各人要把与巴力．毗珥连合的人都杀了。”

於是摩西對以色列的審判官說：「你們的人若有與巴力‧毗珥聯合的，你們各人就要把他們殺了。」

於是摩西對以色列的審判官說：「你們的人若有與巴力‧毗珥聯合的，你們各人就要把他們殺了。」

於是，摩西對以色列的審判官說：「你們各自把權下與巴力·毗珥苟合的人處死。」

於是摩西對以色列的審判官說：“你們各人要把與巴力．毗珥連合的人都殺了。”

於是摩西對以色列的官長們說：『你們各人要把自己的人、就是那些委身於毘珥的巴力的殺掉。』

摩西告以色列士師曰、凡附於巴力毘珥者、爾曹各誅其人、

摩西告以色列刑官曰、凡屬爾統轄之人、有事巴力比耳者、悉當誅戮。○

摩西謂以色列人官吏曰、凡屬爾統轄者、有崇拜巴力毘珥之人、悉當誅戮、

So Moses said to Israel’s judges,“ Each of you must put to death those of your people who have yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor.”

And Moses said to the judges of Israel,“ Each of you kill those of his men who have yoked themselves to Baal of Peor.”

So Moses ordered Israel’s judges,“ Each of you must put to death the men under your authority who have joined in worshiping Baal of Peor.”

So Moses told Israel’s judges,“ Kill each of the men who aligned themselves with Baal of Peor.”

So Moses said to the judges of Israel,“ Each of you kill his men who have become followers of Baal of Peor.”

So Moses said to the judges of Israel,“ Every one of you kill his men who were joined to Baal of Peor.”

And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that have joined themselves unto Baal- peor.

So Moses told Israel’s judges,“ Kill each of the men who aligned themselves with Baal of Peor.”

And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.

So Moses said to the judges of Israel,“ Each of you must execute those of his men who were joined to Baal-peor.”

Moses said to the judges of Israel,“ Everyone kill his men who have joined themselves to Baal Peor.”

But choose men of ability from all the people. They must have respect for God. You must be able to trust them. They must not try to get money by cheating others. Appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.

Then Elijah commanded them,“ Grab the prophets of Baal. Don’t let a single one of them get away!” So they grabbed them. Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley. There he had them put to death.

Suppose your very own brother or sister secretly tempts you to do something wrong. Or your child or the wife you love tempts you. Or your closest friend does it. Suppose one of them says,“ Let’s go and worship other gods.” But you and your people of long ago hadn’t known anything about those gods before.

You must certainly put them to death. You must be the first to throw stones at them. Then all the people must do the same thing.

Then you must certainly kill with your swords everyone who lives in that town. You must destroy it completely. You must wipe out its people and livestock.

You hear that people who cause trouble have appeared among you. They’ve tried to get the people of their town to do something wrong. They’ve said,“ Let’s go and worship other gods.” But you haven’t known anything about those gods before.

He chose men of ability from the whole community of Israel. He made them leaders of the people. They became officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.They judged the people at all times. They brought the hard cases to Moses. But they decided the easy ones themselves.

Then he spoke to them. He said,“ The Lord, the God of Israel, says,‘ Each man must put on his sword. Then he must go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other. Each man must kill his brother and friend and neighbor.’ ”The Levites did as Moses commanded. About 3,000 of the people died that day.

“ Anyone who sacrifices to any god other than the Lord must be destroyed.

The person might have worshiped or bowed down to other gods. That person might have bowed down to the sun or moon or stars in the sky. I have commanded you not to do these things.When you hear that people have done something like that, check the matter out carefully. If it’s true, an evil thing has been done in Israel. The Lord hates that.So take the person who has done that evil thing to your city gate. Put that person to death by throwing stones at them.
