以色列族奉事巴力比耳、耶和華怒甚、

以色列人崇事巴力毘珥、主遂向以色列人震怒、

So Israel yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor. And the Lord’s anger burned against them.

So Israel joined in worshiping the god named Baal that was worshiped at Peor. The Lord became very angry with Israel.

So Israel yoked himself to Baal of Peor. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel.

In this way, Israel joined in the worship of Baal of Peor, causing the Lord’s anger to blaze against his people.

So Israel aligned itself with Baal of Peor, and the LORD’s anger burned against Israel.

So Israel became followers of Baal of Peor, and the Lord was angry with Israel.

So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel.

And Israel joined himself unto Baal- peor: and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel.

So Israel aligned itself with Baal of Peor, and the Lord’s anger burned against Israel.

And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.

When Israel joined themselves to Baal-peor, the anger of the LORD flared up against Israel.

Israel joined himself to Baal Peor, and Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel.

Was not the sin of Peor enough for us? Up to this very day we have not cleansed ourselves from that sin, even though a plague fell on the community of the Lord! (niv)

“ When I found Israel, it was like finding grapes in the desert; when I saw your ancestors, it was like seeing the early fruit on the fig tree. But when they came to Baal Peor, they consecrated themselves to that shameful idol and became as vile as the thing they loved. (niv)

They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods;they aroused the Lord’s anger by their wicked deeds, and a plague broke out among them. (niv)

Through your own fault you will lose the inheritance I gave you. I will enslave you to your enemies in a land you do not know, for you have kindled my anger, and it will burn forever.” (niv)

Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and said,“ Because this nation has violated the covenant I ordained for their ancestors and has not listened to me, (niv)

You saw with your own eyes what the Lord did at Baal Peor. The Lord your God destroyed from among you everyone who followed the Baal of Peor,but all of you who held fast to the Lord your God are still alive today. (niv)

If only we knew the power of your anger! Your wrath is as great as the fear that is your due. (niv)

So Moses said to Israel’s judges,“ Each of you must put to death those of your people who have yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor.” (niv)

In his anger against Israel the Lord gave them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist. (niv)
