亞比米勒說：「你怎麼可以這樣對我們呢？萬一百姓中有人想佔有她，你就使我們陷入罪中了。」

但我真怕你們會像被狡猾的蛇欺騙的夏娃一樣，思想受迷惑，失去了對基督純真專一的心。

耶和華上帝對女人說：「你這做的是什麼事？」女人說：「是蛇誘騙我，我才吃的。」

摩西對亞倫說：「這些百姓對你做了什麼？你竟使他們陷入大罪中！」

耶和華擊殺百姓，是因為他們曾與亞倫一起造牛犢。

他們口出狂言，空話連篇，以肉體的邪情私慾為餌，誘惑那些剛剛擺脫了荒謬生活的人。

說：「你們為什麼讓這些婦女活著？就是她們聽了巴蘭的指使在毗珥引誘以色列人背叛耶和華，以致瘟疫降在耶和華的會眾身上。
