Vex the Midianites, and smite them;

“你要擾害米甸人，打擊他們；

『你要擾害米甸人，擊殺他們；

爾必擾害米甸人而擊之、

自今而後、必攻擊米田人、俾嘗艱苦、

爾以米甸人為敵而攻之、

“ Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them.

“ Treat the Midianites just as you would treat enemies. Kill them.

“ Harass the Midianites and strike them down,

“ Attack the Midianites and destroy them,

“ Attack the Midianites and strike them dead.

“ Be hostile to the Midianites and attack them;

Vex the Midianites, and smite them:

“ Bring trouble to the Midianites, and destroy them,

“ Harass the Midianites, and strike them;

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm ye men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian, to execute Jehovah’s vengeance on Midian.

Render unto her even as she rendered, and double unto her the double according to her works: in the cup which she mingled, mingle unto her double.
