Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness— who dares to rouse them?“ May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!”

Like a male lion they lie down and sleep. They are like a female lion. Who dares to wake them up?“ May those who bless you be blessed! May those who curse you be cursed!”

Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed[ be] every one that curseth thee, and blessed[ be] he that blesseth thee.

Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat[ of] the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.

Judah[ is] a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did[ it] not to one of the least of these, ye did[ it] not to me.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done[ it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done[ it] unto me.

And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:[ it is] hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish[ from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed[ are] all they that put their trust in him.

Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,When they couch in[ their] dens,[ and] abide in the covert to lie in wait?

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

None[ is so] fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?
