Then Balaam looked on Amalek and delivered this oracle:“ Amalek was the first of the nations, but his end will be that he will perish.”

Then Balaam saw Amalek and spoke his message:“ Amalek was first among the nations, but their end will be utter destruction.”

Then Balaam saw the Amalekites. He spoke the message he had received from God. He said,“ Amalek was the first nation to attack Israel. But their end will be total destruction.”

Then he looked on Amalek and took up his discourse and said,“ Amalek was the first among the nations, but its end is utter destruction.”

Then Balaam looked over toward the people of Amalek and delivered this message:“ Amalek was the greatest of nations, but its destiny is destruction!”

Then Balaam saw Amalek and proclaimed his poem: Amalek was first among the nations, but his future is destruction.

And he looked at Amalek and took up his discourse and said,“ Amalek was the first of the nations, But his end shall be destruction.”

Then he looked on Amalek, and he took up his oracle and said:“ Amalek was first among the nations, But shall be last until he perishes.”

And he looked on Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; But his latter end shall come to destruction.

Then Balaam saw Amalek and proclaimed his poem: Amalek was first among the nations, but his future is destruction.

The LORD said to Moses,“ Write this as a memorial in the book, and rehearse it in Joshua’s hearing; for I will surely wipe out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

Some time later King Ahasuerus promoted Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, exalting him and setting his position above that of all the officials who were with him.

On the third day David and his men came to Ziklag. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They attacked Ziklag and burned it.

Whenever the Israelites planted their crops, the Midianites, Amalekites, and the people from the east would attack them.

But David struck them down from twilight until the following evening. None of them escaped, with the exception of four hundred young men who got away on camels.

for he said,“ For a hand was lifted up to the throne of the LORD– that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”

He fought bravely, striking down the Amalekites and delivering Israel from the hand of its enemies.

Amalek came and attacked Israel in Rephidim.

So the king issued orders for this to be done. A law was passed in Susa, and the ten sons of Haman were hanged.

Then David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites.( They had been living in that land for a long time, from the approach to Shur as far as the land of Egypt.)When David would attack a district, he would leave neither man nor woman alive. He would take sheep, cattle, donkeys, camels, and clothing and would then go back to Achish.

and defeated the rest of the Amalekite refugees; they live there to this very day.

Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said,“ Indeed, there is the gallows that Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke out in the king’s behalf. It stands near Haman’s home and is seventy-five feet high.” The king said,“ Hang him on it!”So they hanged Haman on the very gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. The king’s rage then abated.

So go now and strike down the Amalekites. Destroy everything that they have. Don’t spare them. Put them to death– man, woman, child, infant, ox, sheep, camel, and donkey alike.’”So Saul assembled the army and mustered them at Telaim. There were 200,000 foot soldiers and 10,000 men of Judah.Saul proceeded to the city of Amalek, where he set an ambush in the wadi.Saul said to the Kenites,“ Go on and leave! Go down from among the Amalekites! Otherwise I will sweep you away with them! After all, you were kind to all the Israelites when they came up from Egypt.” So the Kenites withdrew from among the Amalekites.Then Saul struck down the Amalekites all the way from Havilah to Shur, which is next to Egypt.He captured King Agag of the Amalekites alive, but he executed all Agag’s people with the sword.
