Then Balaam saw Amalek and spoke his message:“ Amalek was first among the nations, but their end will be utter destruction.”

Then Balaam saw the Amalekites. He spoke the message he had received from God. He said,“ Amalek was the first nation to attack Israel. But their end will be total destruction.”

Then Balaam looked over toward the people of Amalek and delivered this message:“ Amalek was the greatest of nations, but its destiny is destruction!”

Then Balaam saw Amalek and proclaimed his poem: Amalek was first among the nations, but his future is destruction.

And he looked at Amalek and took up his discourse and said,“ Amalek was the first of the nations, But his end shall be destruction.”

Then he looked on Amalek, and he took up his oracle and said:“ Amalek was first among the nations, But shall be last until he perishes.”

And he looked on Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; But his latter end shall come to destruction.

Then Balaam saw Amalek and proclaimed his poem: Amalek was first among the nations, but his future is destruction.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”

After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman the Agagite, the son of Hammedatha, and advanced him and set his throne above all the officials who were with him.

Now when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had made a raid against the Negeb and against Ziklag. They had overcome Ziklag and burned it with fire

For whenever the Israelites planted crops, the Midianites and the Amalekites and the people of the East would come up against them.

And David struck them down from twilight until the evening of the next day, and not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men, who mounted camels and fled.

saying,“ A hand upon the throne of the Lord! The Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”

And he did valiantly and struck the Amalekites and delivered Israel out of the hands of those who plundered them.

Then Amalek came and fought with Israel at Rephidim.

So the king commanded this to be done. A decree was issued in Susa, and the ten sons of Haman were hanged.

Now David and his men went up and made raids against the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites, for these were the inhabitants of the land from of old, as far as Shur, to the land of Egypt.And David would strike the land and would leave neither man nor woman alive, but would take away the sheep, the oxen, the donkeys, the camels, and the garments, and come back to Achish.

And they defeated the remnant of the Amalekites who had escaped, and they have lived there to this day.

Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs in attendance on the king, said,“ Moreover, the gallows that Haman has prepared for Mordecai, whose word saved the king, is standing at Haman’s house, fifty cubits high.” And the king said,“ Hang him on that.”So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the wrath of the king abated.

Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”So Saul summoned the people and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand men on foot, and ten thousand men of Judah.And Saul came to the city of Amalek and lay in wait in the valley.Then Saul said to the Kenites,“ Go, depart; go down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the people of Israel when they came up out of Egypt.” So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.And Saul defeated the Amalekites from Havilah as far as Shur, which is east of Egypt.And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive and devoted to destruction all the people with the edge of the sword.
