Edom will be taken over, and Seir, its enemy, will be conquered, while Israel marches on in triumph.

Edom will be conquered; Seir, his enemy, will be conquered, but Israel will grow strong.

He’ll win the battle over Edom. He’ll win the battle over his enemy Seir. But Israel will grow strong.

Edom shall be dispossessed; Seir also, his enemies, shall be dispossessed. Israel is doing valiantly.

Edom will become a possession; Seir will become a possession of its enemies, but Israel will be triumphant.

And Edom shall be a possession, Seir, its enemies, also will be a possession, While Israel performs valiantly.

“ And Edom shall be a possession; Seir also, his enemies, shall be a possession, While Israel does valiantly.

And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession, who were his enemies; While Israel doeth valiantly.

Edom will become a possession; Seir will become a possession of its enemies, but Israel will be triumphant.

And Israel will possess what is left of Edom and all the nations I have called to be mine.” The Lord has spoken, and he will do these things.

He placed army garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites became David’s subjects. In fact, the Lord made David victorious wherever he went.

May many nations become your servants, and may they bow down to you. May you be the master over your brothers, and may your mother’s sons bow down to you. All who curse you will be cursed, and all who bless you will be blessed.”

But Moab, my washbasin, will become my servant, and I will wipe my feet on Edom and shout in triumph over Philistia.”Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will bring me victory over Edom?Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies?Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless.With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.

Then Jacob sent messengers ahead to his brother, Esau, who was living in the region of Seir in the land of Edom.

You have rejected us, O God, and broken our defenses. You have been angry with us; now restore us to your favor.

Who is this who comes from Edom, from the city of Bozrah, with his clothing stained red? Who is this in royal robes, marching in his great strength?“ It is I, the Lord, announcing your salvation! It is I, the Lord, who has the power to save!”

And when my sword has finished its work in the heavens, it will fall upon Edom, the nation I have marked for destruction.

You will live by your sword, and you will serve your brother. But when you decide to break free, you will shake his yoke from your neck.”
