Then Balak’s anger burned against Balaam. He struck his hands together and said to him,“ I summoned you to curse my enemies, but you have blessed them these three times.

Then Balak became very angry with Balaam. He slapped his hands together. He said to Balaam,“ I sent for you to put a curse on my enemies. But you have given them a blessing three times.

And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he struck his hands together. And Balak said to Balaam,“ I called you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have blessed them these three times.

King Balak flew into a rage against Balaam. He angrily clapped his hands and shouted,“ I called you to curse my enemies! Instead, you have blessed them three times.

「人子啊，你要拍掌預言，使這刀三番兩次臨到；這是致人死傷的刀，就是包圍人，使人大受死傷的刀。

因為他們沒有拿食物和水來迎接以色列人，卻雇了巴蘭詛咒他們，但我們的上帝使那詛咒變為祝福。

我也要拍掌，使我的憤怒平息。這是我－耶和華說的。」

「看哪，我因你所得不義之財和你們中間所流的血，就擊打手掌。

風要因他拍掌，並要發叱聲，使他離開原地。」

現在請你來，為我詛咒這百姓，因為他們比我強大，或許我能打敗他們，把他們趕出此地。因為我知道，你為誰祝福，誰就得福；你詛咒誰，誰就受詛咒。」

那時，摩押王西撥的兒子巴勒起來攻擊以色列人，派人去召比珥的兒子巴蘭來詛咒你們。但我不願聽巴蘭，所以他反而為你們連連祝福。這樣，我救了你們脫離他的手。

因為你們出埃及的時候，他們沒有拿食物和水在路上迎接你們，並且雇了美索不達米亞的毗奪人，比珥的兒子巴蘭來詛咒你。然而耶和華－你的上帝不願聽巴蘭，耶和華－你的上帝為你使詛咒變為祝福，因為耶和華－你的上帝愛你。

我必使你得極大的尊榮，無論你向我要甚麼，我都給你。只求你來為我詛咒這百姓。』」

『看哪，從埃及出來的百姓遮滿了地面，現在請你來，為我詛咒他們，或許我能打敗他們，把他們趕走。』」
