God met with him, and Balaam said,“ I have prepared seven altars, and on each altar I have offered a bull and a ram.”

And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered up a bullock and a ram on every altar.

Then God met Balaam, who said to him,“ I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered on each altar a bull and a ram.”

The LORD met with Balaam and put a message in his mouth. Then he said,“ Return to Balak and say what I tell you.”

Then Balaam said to Balak,“ Build me seven altars here and prepare seven bulls and seven rams for me.”

They will ban you from the synagogues. In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering service to God.

‘ These last men put in one hour, and you made them equal to us who bore the burden of the day’s work and the burning heat.’

“ Why have we fasted, but you have not seen? We have denied ourselves, but you haven’t noticed!”“ Look, you do as you please on the day of your fast, and oppress all your workers.You fast with contention and strife to strike viciously with your fist. You cannot fast as you do today, hoping to make your voice heard on high.

Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By one of works? No, on the contrary, by a law of faith.

God came to Balaam at night and said to him,“ Since these men have come to summon you, get up and go with them, but you must only do what I tell you.”

Then God came to Balaam and asked,“ Who are these men with you?”

not from works, so that no one can boast.

I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of everything I get.’
