Balaam answered,“ Didn’t I tell you that I must do only what the Lord says?”

巴兰回答巴勒说：“我不是告诉过你：‘凡耶和华所说的，我必须遵行’吗？”

巴兰回答说：“我不是说过，我必须按耶和华的指示做吗？”

巴兰回答巴勒说：“我不是告诉过你说：‘耶和华吩咐我的，我都必要遵行’吗？”

巴蘭回答巴勒說：「我豈不是告訴你說『凡耶和華所說的，我必須遵行』嗎？」

巴蘭回答巴勒說：「我不是告訴過你：『凡耶和華所說的，我必須遵行』嗎？」

巴蘭回答巴勒說：「我不是告訴過你：『凡耶和華所說的，我必須遵行』嗎？」

巴蘭回答說：「我不是說過，我必須按耶和華的指示做嗎？」

巴蘭回答巴勒說：“我不是告訴過你說：‘耶和華吩咐我的，我都必要遵行’嗎？”

巴蘭回答巴勒說：『我不是告訴過你說：「永恆主吩咐我甚麼、我總要行甚麼」麼？』

巴蘭對曰、我豈不語汝、耶和華所諭、我必遵循、

巴蘭對曰、我豈不曰、耶和華所諭、我必遵循。

巴蘭答曰、凡主所諭我必遵行、其言我豈未告爾乎、

Balaam answered,“ Did I not tell you I must do whatever the Lord says?”

But Balaam answered Balak,“ Did I not tell you,‘ All that the Lord says, that I must do’?”

But Balaam replied to Balak,“ Didn’t I tell you that I can do only what the Lord tells me?”

But Balaam answered him,“ Didn’t I tell you: Whatever the LORD says, I must do?”

But Balaam replied to Balak,“ Did I not tell you,‘ Whatever the Lord speaks, I must do’?”

So Balaam answered and said to Balak,“ Did I not tell you, saying,‘ All that the Lord speaks, that I must do’?”

But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that Jehovah speaketh, that I must do?

But Balaam answered him,“ Didn’t I tell you: Whatever the Lord says, I must do?”

But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?

But Balaam replied to Balak,“ Did I not tell you,‘ All that the LORD speaks, I must do’?”

But Balaam answered Balak,“ Didn’t I tell you, saying,‘ All that Yahweh speaks, that I must do?’”

But Balaam gave them his answer. He said,“ Balak could give me all the silver and gold in his palace. Even then, I still couldn’t do anything at all that goes beyond what the Lord my God commands.

But Micaiah said,“ You can be sure that the Lord lives. And here is something you can be just as sure of. I can only tell the king what the Lord tells me to say.”

Balaam answered Balak,“ Here is what I told the messengers you sent me.I said,‘ Balak could give me all the silver and gold in his palace. Even if I wanted to, I still couldn’t do anything at all that goes beyond what the Lord commands. I must say only what the Lord tells me to say.’

But Micaiah said,“ You can be sure that the Lord lives. And you can be just as sure that I can only tell the king what my God says.”

Peter and the other apostles replied,“ We must obey God instead of people!

But Peter and John replied,“ Which is right from God’s point of view? Should we listen to you? Or should we listen to God? You be the judges!There’s nothing else we can do. We have to speak about the things we’ve seen and heard.”

He answered,“ I have to speak only the words the Lord puts in my mouth.”Then Balak said to Balaam,“ Come with me to another place. You can see the Israelites from there. You won’t see all of them. You will only see the outer edges of their camp. From there, put a curse on them for me.”

“ Well, I’ve come to you now,” Balaam replied.“ But I can’t say whatever I please. I can only speak the words God puts in my mouth.”
