He answered,“ I have to speak only the words the Lord puts in my mouth.”

他回答说：“耶和华放在我口中的话，我岂能不谨慎地说呢？”

他回答说：“耶和华放在我口中的话，我岂能不谨慎地说呢？”

巴兰说：“耶和华让我说的话，我岂能不说？”

巴兰回答，说：“耶和华传给我的话，我怎能不谨慎说呢？”

他回答說：「耶和華傳給我的話，我能不謹慎傳說嗎？」

他回答說：「耶和華放在我口中的話，我豈能不謹慎地說呢？」

他回答說：「耶和華放在我口中的話，我豈能不謹慎地說呢？」

巴蘭說：「耶和華讓我說的話，我豈能不說？」

巴蘭回答，說：“耶和華傳給我的話，我怎能不謹慎說呢？”

巴蘭回答說：『永恆主放在我口中的話、我能不謹慎說麼？』

對曰、耶和華授我之言、我不慎述之乎、

對曰、耶和華以言示我、我必以告。

對曰、主授於我口之言、我豈能不謹述之乎、

He answered,“ Must I not speak what the Lord puts in my mouth?”

And he answered and said,“ Must I not take care to speak what the Lord puts in my mouth?”

But Balaam replied,“ I will speak only the message that the Lord puts in my mouth.”

He answered,“ Shouldn’t I say exactly what the LORD puts in my mouth?”

He replied,“ Must I not be careful to speak what the Lord puts in my mouth?”

So he answered and said,“ Must I not take heed to speak what the Lord has put in my mouth?”

And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which Jehovah putteth in my mouth?

He answered,“ Shouldn’t I say exactly what the Lord puts in my mouth?”

And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?

Balaam replied,“ Must I not be careful to speak what the LORD has put in my mouth?”

He answered and said,“ Must I not take heed to speak that which Yahweh puts in my mouth?”

“ Well, I’ve come to you now,” Balaam replied.“ But I can’t say whatever I please. I can only speak the words God puts in my mouth.”

Even though what they say can be charming, don’t believe them. That’s because seven things God hates fill that person’s heart.

He has commanded me to bless Israel. He has given them his blessing. And I can’t change it.

Balaam answered,“ Didn’t I tell you that I must do only what the Lord says?”

They claim to know God. But their actions show they don’t know him. They are hated by God. They refuse to obey him. They aren’t fit to do anything good.

I said,‘ Balak could give me all the silver and gold in his palace. Even if I wanted to, I still couldn’t do anything at all that goes beyond what the Lord commands. I must say only what the Lord tells me to say.’

That night God came to Balaam. He said,“ These men have come to get you. So go with them. But do only what I tell you to do.”

People like that are not serving Christ our Lord. They are serving only themselves. With smooth talk and with words they don’t mean they fool people who don’t know any better.
