Jacob’s people are like the dust of the earth. Can dust be counted? Who can count even a fourth of the Israelites? Let me die as godly people die. Let my death be like theirs!”

你看那純全正直、愛好和平的人，他們前途美好。

我要使你的後代多如地上的塵土，人若能數算地上的塵土，才能數算你的後代。

耶和華的眼目顧惜祂聖民的死亡。

你的後代必多如地上的塵沙，遍佈四方，地上萬族必因你和你的後代而蒙福。

我們知道，我們的身體好比是地上的帳篷，如果毀壞了，我們就從上帝那裡得到一個住處，不是人手造的，而是天上永恆的「房屋」。

我的生命如同奉獻在祭壇上的酒正傾倒出來，我離世的日子快要到了。那美好的仗，我打過了；當跑的路，我跑完了；所信的道，我持守住了。從此，有公義的冠冕為我預備，按公義審判的主會在祂來的那一天把它賜給我，不但會賜給我，也會賜給所有愛慕祂顯現的人。

那時，這必朽的身體要變成不朽的，這必死的要變成不死的。當這一切發生的時候，就應驗了聖經上的話：「死亡被勝利吞滅了。」「死亡啊！你得勝的權勢在哪裡？死亡啊！你的毒鉤在哪裡？」死亡的毒鉤就是罪，罪藉著律法施展它的權勢。但感謝上帝，祂使我們靠著主耶穌基督得勝。

沒有人關心義人的死亡，沒有人明白虔誠人的去世。其實義人去世是脫離災難。這些正直的人得享平安，在墳墓裡得到安息。

我聽見天上有聲音說：「你將下面的話寫下來，從今以後，那些為主而死的人有福了！」聖靈說：「是的！他們將得享安息，不再勞苦。他們工作的成果必隨著他們。」

因為對我來說，活著是為了基督，死了也有益處。如果活在世上，我可以做工，多結果子。我真不知道該怎麼選擇！我處在兩難之間。我情願離開世界，與基督在一起，那實在是再好不過了。

以法蓮營區共十萬八千一百人，他們是第三隊。

但營區共有十五萬七千六百人，他們是後隊。

我覺得應當趁著我還在世的時候提醒你們，激勵你們，因我知道自己離世的日子已經不遠了，正如我們的主耶穌基督指示我的。我要盡力使你們在我離世以後仍然常常記得這些事。

猶大營區的人共十八萬六千四百人，他們是開路先鋒。

我必賜福給你，使你的後裔多如天上的星和海邊的沙。你的後裔必佔領仇敵的城池，

呂便營區共十五萬一千四百五十人，他們是第二隊。

「主啊，現在你的話已經成就，可以讓你的奴僕安然離世了，因為我已親眼看到你的救恩，

因此，誰都不要仗著人誇耀，因為萬物都屬於你們，無論是保羅、亞波羅、彼得、世界、生命、死亡、現在的事或將來的事都屬於你們，

惡人因惡行而滅亡，義人到死仍有倚靠。
