That night God came to Balaam and asked him,“ Who are these men visiting you?”

God came to Balaam and asked,“ Who are these men with you?”

For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.

Joseph responded,“ Both of Pharaoh’s dreams mean the same thing. God is telling Pharaoh in advance what he is about to do.

Then the Lord God called to the man,“ Where are you?”He replied,“ I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”“ Who told you that you were naked?” the Lord God asked.“ Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?”

That is the meaning of the rock cut from the mountain, though not by human hands, that crushed to pieces the statue of iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold. The great God was showing the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its meaning is certain.”

Afterward the Lord asked Cain,“ Where is your brother? Where is Abel?”“ I don’t know,” Cain responded.“ Am I my brother’s guardian?”

On judgment day many will say to me,‘ Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’

“ While these words were still in his mouth, a voice called down from heaven,‘ O King Nebuchadnezzar, this message is for you! You are no longer ruler of this kingdom.You will be driven from human society. You will live in the fields with the wild animals, and you will eat grass like a cow. Seven periods of time will pass while you live this way, until you learn that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world and gives them to anyone he chooses.’
