你们要把你们赶走的列国的人事奉神的地方，无论是在高山上，在山冈上，或是在各青翠树下，都要完全毁坏；

我要灭绝在摩押那些邱坛上献祭和向他们的神烧香的。”这是耶和华的宣告。

耶罗波安为邱坛、公山羊神，以及他铸造的牛犊，自己设立了祭司。

那些女子叫以色列人来，一同给她们的神献祭，以色列人也吃了她们的祭物，跪拜她们的神。以色列人与巴力．毗珥连合，耶和华就向以色列人发怒。

因为有火从希实本发出，有火焰从西宏的城冒出，吞灭了摩押的亚珥，烧毁了亚嫩河的高冈（按照《马索拉文本》，“烧毁了亚嫩河的高冈”作“亚嫩河的高冈上的业主”﹔现参照《七十士译本》翻译）。
