So the Moabites said to the elders of Midian,“ Now this mass of people will lick up everything around us, as the bull devours the grass of the field. Now Balak son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at this time.

对米甸的长老说：“现在这众人要把我们四围所有的一概舔尽，就如牛舔尽田间的草一般。”那时西拨的儿子巴勒作摩押王。

摩押对米甸的长老说：“现在这群人要舔尽我们四围的一切，好像牛舔尽田间的草一样。”那时，西拨的儿子巴勒作摩押王。

摩押对米甸的长老说：“现在这群人要舔尽我们四围的一切，好像牛舔尽田间的草一样。”那时，西拨的儿子巴勒作摩押王。

对米甸的长老说：“这群人将吞掉我们周围的一切，如同牛吃光田间的草一样。”那时，西拨的儿子巴勒做摩押王。

摩押人对米甸的长老说：“现在这群人要吞并我们四周的一切，好像牛吞吃田间的草一样。”那时西拨的儿子巴勒，作摩押王；

對米甸的長老說：「現在這眾人要把我們四圍所有的一概餂盡，就如牛餂盡田間的草一般。」那時西撥的兒子巴勒作摩押王。

摩押對米甸的長老說：「現在這羣人要舔盡我們四圍的一切，好像牛舔盡田間的草一樣。」那時，西撥的兒子巴勒作摩押王。

摩押對米甸的長老說：「現在這羣人要舔盡我們四圍的一切，好像牛舔盡田間的草一樣。」那時，西撥的兒子巴勒作摩押王。

對米甸的長老說：「這群人將吞掉我們周圍的一切，如同牛吃光田間的草一樣。」那時，西撥的兒子巴勒做摩押王。

摩押人對米甸的長老說：“現在這群人要吞併我們四周的一切，好像牛吞吃田間的草一樣。”那時西撥的兒子巴勒，作摩押王；

摩押人對米甸的長老說：『現在這一集團要把我們四圍所有的一概餂盡、就像牛餂盡田野的青草一般。』那時西撥的兒子巴勒做摩押王；

告米甸長老曰、此眾將吞我四方、如牛嚙田野之草、時、西撥子巴勒為摩押王、

告米田長老曰、此族眾多、並吞四方、如牛嚙草、

摩押人謂米甸諸長老曰、今此眾必以我四圍所有、盡行吞食、如牛之囓盡田間草萊然、當是時、西撥子巴勒為摩押王、

The Moabites said to the elders of Midian,“ This horde is going to lick up everything around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.” So Balak son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time,

The Moabites spoke to the elders of Midian. They said,“ This huge mob is going to destroy everything around us. They’ll lick it up as an ox licks up all the grass in the fields.” Balak, the son of Zippor, was the king of Moab at that time.

And Moab said to the elders of Midian,“ This horde will now lick up all that is around us, as the ox licks up the grass of the field.” So Balak the son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time,

The king of Moab said to the elders of Midian,“ This mob will devour everything in sight, like an ox devours grass in the field!” So Balak, king of Moab,

So the Moabites said to the elders of Midian,“ This horde will devour everything around us like an ox eats up the green plants in the field.” Since Balak son of Zippor was Moab’s king at that time,

Moab said to the elders of Midian,“ Now this horde will eat up all that is around us, as the ox eats up the grass of the field!” And Balak the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time.

So Moab said to the elders of Midian,“ Now this company will lick up everything around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.” And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.

And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now will this multitude lick up all that is round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time.

So the Moabites said to the elders of Midian,“ This horde will devour everything around us like an ox eats up the green plants in the field.” Since Balak son of Zippor was Moab’s king at that time,

And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all[ that are] round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor[ was] king of the Moabites at that time.

Moab said to the elders of Midian,“ Now this multitude will lick up all that is around us, as the ox licks up the grass of the field.” Balak the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time.

The name of the Midianite woman who was killed was Cozbi daughter of Zur. He was a leader over the people of a clan of Midian.Then the LORD spoke to Moses:“ Bring trouble to the Midianites, and destroy them,because they bring trouble to you by their treachery with which they have deceived you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, who was killed on the day of the plague that happened as a result of Peor.”

They killed the kings of Midian in addition to those slain– Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba– five Midianite kings. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword.

‘ I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not close at hand. A star will march forth out of Jacob, and a scepter will rise out of Israel. He will crush the skulls of Moab, and the heads of all the sons of Sheth.

Balak son of Zippor saw all that the Israelites had done to the Amorites.

Are you really better than Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab? Did he dare to quarrel with Israel? Did he dare to fight with them?

On all the housetops in Moab and in all its public squares there will be nothing but mourning. For I will break Moab like an unwanted jar. I, the LORD, affirm it!

It encompassed all the cities of the plain and the whole realm of King Sihon of the Amorites who ruled in Heshbon. Moses defeated him and the Midianite leaders Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba( they were subjects of Sihon and lived in his territory).The Israelites killed Balaam son of Beor, the omen reader, along with the others.

So the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the fee for divination in their hand. They came to Balaam and reported to him the words of Balak.
