Balaam said to Balak,“ Behold, I have come to you! Have I now any power of my own to speak anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that must I speak.”

巴兰说：“现在我已经来了，但我不能随便发言，只能按上帝的指示说话。”

巴兰对巴勒说：“看哪，我已经来到你这里，现在我怎能说什么呢？神把什么话放在我口里，我就说什么。”

巴蘭說：「我已經到你這裏來了！現在我豈能擅自說甚麼呢？神將甚麼話傳給我，我就說甚麼。」

巴蘭對巴勒說：「看哪，我已經到你這裏來了！現在我豈能擅自說甚麼呢？上帝將甚麼話放在我口中，我就說甚麼。」

巴蘭對巴勒說：「看哪，我已經到你這裏來了！現在我豈能擅自說甚麼呢？神將甚麼話放在我口中，我就說甚麼。」

巴蘭說：「現在我已經來了，但我不能隨便發言，只能按上帝的指示說話。」

巴蘭對巴勒說：“看哪，我已經來到你這裡，現在我怎能說甚麼呢？神把甚麼話放在我口裡，我就說甚麼。”

巴蘭對巴勒說：『看哪，我已經到你這裏來了；現在我哪能說甚麼呢？上帝將甚麼話放在我口中，我就說甚麼罷了。』

巴蘭曰、我今已至、我豈能自擅而言、上帝授我之言、我必言之、

巴蘭曰、我今已至、我豈能自擅而言、上帝使我言、我必言之。

巴蘭謂巴勒曰、我今雖至、我豈能自擅而言、天主所諭我之言、我方可言、

“ Well, I have come to you now,” Balaam replied.“ But I can’t say whatever I please. I must speak only what God puts in my mouth.”

“ Well, I’ve come to you now,” Balaam replied.“ But I can’t say whatever I please. I can only speak the words God puts in my mouth.”

Balaam replied,“ Look, now I have come, but I have no power to say whatever I want. I will speak only the message that God puts in my mouth.”

Balaam said to him,“ Look, I have come to you, but can I say anything I want? I must speak only the message God puts in my mouth.”

So Balaam said to Balak,“ Behold, I have come to you now! Am I really able to speak anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that only shall I speak.”

And Balaam said to Balak,“ Look, I have come to you! Now, have I any power at all to say anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that I must speak.”

And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to speak anything? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak.

Balaam said to him,“ Look, I have come to you, but can I say anything I want? I must speak only the message God puts in my mouth.”

And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak.

Balaam said to Balak,“ Look, I have come to you. Now, am I able to speak just anything? I must speak only the word that God puts in my mouth.”

Balaam said to Balak,“ Behold, I have come to you. Have I now any power at all to speak anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that shall I speak.”

But Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak,“ Though Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the command of the Lord my God to do less or more.

And the Lord met Balaam and put a word in his mouth and said,“ Return to Balak, and thus shall you speak.”

But Balaam answered Balak,“ Did I not tell you,‘ All that the Lord says, that I must do’?”

But Micaiah said,“ As the Lord lives, what my God says, that I will speak.”

declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying,‘ My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’

The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples.

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

But Micaiah said,“ As the Lord lives, what the Lord says to me, that I will speak.”

who frustrates the signs of liars and makes fools of diviners, who turns wise men back and makes their knowledge foolish,

Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant of wrath you will put on like a belt.

‘ If Balak should give me his house full of silver and gold, I would not be able to go beyond the word of the Lord, to do either good or bad of my own will. What the Lord speaks, that will I speak’?

Stand fast in your enchantments and your many sorceries, with which you have labored from your youth; perhaps you may be able to succeed; perhaps you may inspire terror.
