The angel of the Lord said to Balaam,“ Go with the men, but speak only what I tell you.” So Balaam went with Balak’s officials.

耶和華曰、爾豈未聞我於元始所為、上古所定、今則成之、使爾毀堅城為瓦礫、故其居民力微、驚惶羞愧、如田草、如青蔬、如屋上之草、如未長之禾、爾之居處、爾之出入、及向我之暴怒、我悉知之、因爾向我暴怒、及爾狂傲之聲、達於我耳、我必置鈎於爾鼻、置勒於爾口、使循原途而返、

我則任其剛愎厥心、依己所謀而行兮、

彼之來、乃依撒但之工作、以諸能諸兆諸偽蹟、又以非義之諸詭譎、加於淪亡者、因其不納真理之愛、致得救焉、故上帝施以乖謬、致信誑言、俾凡不信真理、而悅不義者服鞫、○

是夜上帝臨格、諭巴蘭曰、如其人來招、姑與偕往、然我所諭、汝必遵循、巴蘭夙興備驢、與摩押使臣偕往、
