耶和華的使者對他說：「你為何這三次打你的驢呢？我出來敵擋你，因你所行的，在我面前偏僻。

永恆主的使者對他說：『你為甚麼這三次擊打了你的驢呢？看哪，是我出來敵擋你的，因為你對着我逆行了路。

使者曰、三策爾驢何也、爾所行者逆我、故我出以禦爾、

使者曰、三策爾驢何也、爾所行者違逆於我、故我出以禦爾。

主之使者謂之曰、爾三次策驢、何也、爾行此道逆我、故我出以阻爾、

The angel of the Lord asked him,“ Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me.

The angel of the Lord spoke to him. He asked him,“ Why have you hit your donkey three times? I have come here to oppose you. What you are doing is foolish.

And the angel of the Lord said to him,“ Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to oppose you because your way is perverse before me.

“ Why did you beat your donkey those three times?” the angel of the Lord demanded.“ Look, I have come to block your way because you are stubbornly resisting me.

The angel of the LORD asked him,“ Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? Look, I came out to oppose you, because I consider what you are doing to be evil.

Then the angel of the Lord said to him,“ Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out as an adversary, because your way was reckless and contrary to me.

And the Angel of the Lord said to him,“ Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to stand against you, because your way is perverse before Me.

And the angel of Jehovah said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I am come forth for an adversary, because thy way is perverse before me:

The Angel of the Lord asked him,“ Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? Look, I came out to oppose you, because what you are doing is evil in My sight.

And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because[ thy] way is perverse before me:

The angel of the LORD said to him,“ Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? Look, I came out to oppose you because what you are doing is perverse before me.

Yahweh’s angel said to him,“ Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out as an adversary, because your way is perverse before me.

神因他去就怒气发作；耶和华的使者站在路中间敌对他。他骑着驴，有两个仆人跟随他。

他们满眼是淫色，是止不住的罪，引诱心不坚定的人，心中习惯了贪婪，正是被诅咒的种类。他们离弃了正路，走入歧途，随从比珥的儿子巴兰的路；巴兰就是那贪爱不义的工钱的人，

他赐食物给走兽和啼叫的小乌鸦。

行为正直的，必蒙拯救；行事弯曲的，立时跌倒。

何况这尼尼微大城，其中不能分辨左右手的就有十二万多人，还有许多牲畜，我岂能不爱惜呢？”

耶和华使驴开口，对巴兰说：“我向你做了什么，你竟打我这三次呢？”

“牛在踹谷的时候，不可笼住它的嘴。”

你的公义好像高山，你的判断如同深渊；耶和华啊，人民、牲畜，你都救护。

行事正直的，敬畏耶和华；偏离正路的，却藐视他。

因为你们出埃及的时候，他们没有拿食物和水在路上迎接你们，并且雇了美索不达米亚的毗夺人，比珥的儿子巴兰来诅咒你。

耶和华的使者对巴兰说：“你和这些人去吧！你只要说我对你说的话。”于是巴兰和巴勒的官员一同去了。

神在夜里临到巴兰那里，说：“这些人若来求你，你就起来跟他们去吧，只是你必须照着我对你说的话去做。”

耶和华的使者在荆棘的火焰中向他显现。摩西观看，看哪，荆棘在火中焚烧，却没有烧毁。摩西说：“我要转过去看这大异象，这荆棘为何没有烧毁呢？”耶和华见摩西转过去看，神就从荆棘里呼叫他说：“摩西！摩西！”他说：“我在这里。”神说：“不要靠近这里。把你脚上的鞋脱下来，因为你所站的地方是圣地”。他又说：“我是你父亲的神，是亚伯拉罕的神，以撒的神，雅各的神。”摩西蒙上脸，因为怕看神。

说：“你这充满各样诡诈奸恶，魔鬼的儿子，一切正义的仇敌，你还不停止扭曲主的正道吗？

行为纯正的穷乏人胜过行事歪曲的有钱人。

耶和华善待万有，他的怜悯覆庇他一切所造的。

我的百姓啊，当记念从前摩押王巴勒如何筹算，比珥的儿子巴兰如何回应他，当记念从什亭到吉甲所发生的事，好使你们明白耶和华公义的作为。”
