永恆主的使者對他說：『你為甚麼這三次擊打了你的驢呢？看哪，是我出來敵擋你的，因為你對着我逆行了路。

使者曰、三策爾驢何也、爾所行者逆我、故我出以禦爾、

使者曰、三策爾驢何也、爾所行者違逆於我、故我出以禦爾。

主之使者謂之曰、爾三次策驢、何也、爾行此道逆我、故我出以阻爾、

The angel of the Lord asked him,“ Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me.

The angel of the Lord spoke to him. He asked him,“ Why have you hit your donkey three times? I have come here to oppose you. What you are doing is foolish.

And the angel of the Lord said to him,“ Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to oppose you because your way is perverse before me.

“ Why did you beat your donkey those three times?” the angel of the Lord demanded.“ Look, I have come to block your way because you are stubbornly resisting me.

The angel of the LORD asked him,“ Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? Look, I came out to oppose you, because I consider what you are doing to be evil.

Then the angel of the Lord said to him,“ Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out as an adversary, because your way was reckless and contrary to me.

And the Angel of the Lord said to him,“ Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to stand against you, because your way is perverse before Me.

And the angel of Jehovah said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I am come forth for an adversary, because thy way is perverse before me:

The Angel of the Lord asked him,“ Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? Look, I came out to oppose you, because what you are doing is evil in My sight.

And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because[ thy] way is perverse before me:

The angel of the LORD said to him,“ Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? Look, I came out to oppose you because what you are doing is perverse before me.

Yahweh’s angel said to him,“ Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out as an adversary, because your way is perverse before me.

But God was very angry when he went, and the angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. (niv)

With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed— an accursed brood!They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bezer, who loved the wages of wickedness. (niv)

He provides food for the cattle and for the young ravens when they call. (niv)

The one whose walk is blameless is kept safe, but the one whose ways are perverse will fall into the pit. (niv)

And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left— and also many animals?” (niv)

Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam,“ What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?” (niv)

Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain. (niv)

Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals. (niv)

Whoever fears the Lord walks uprightly, but those who despise him are devious in their ways. (niv)

For they did not come to meet you with bread and water on your way when you came out of Egypt, and they hired Balaam son of Beor from Pethor in Aram Naharaim to pronounce a curse on you. (niv)

The angel of the Lord said to Balaam,“ Go with the men, but speak only what I tell you.” So Balaam went with Balak’s officials. (niv)

That night God came to Balaam and said,“ Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you.” (niv)

There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.So Moses thought,“ I will go over and see this strange sight— why the bush does not burn up.”When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush,“ Moses! Moses!” And Moses said,“ Here I am.”“ Do not come any closer,” God said.“ Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”Then he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. (niv)

“ You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? (niv)

Better the poor whose walk is blameless than the rich whose ways are perverse. (niv)

The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. (niv)

My people, remember what Balak king of Moab plotted and what Balaam son of Beor answered. Remember your journey from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the Lord.” (niv)
