and Moab was terrified because there were so many people. Indeed, Moab was filled with dread because of the Israelites.

那時，以東的族長驚惶，摩押的英雄被戰兢抓住，迦南所有的居民都融化。

推羅的風聲傳到埃及時，他們為這風聲極其疼痛。

因為我們聽見你們出埃及的時候，耶和華怎樣在你們前面使紅海的水乾了，並且你們怎樣處置約旦河東的兩個亞摩利王，西宏和噩，把他們完全消滅。我們一聽見就膽戰心驚，人人因你們的緣故勇氣全失。耶和華－你們的神是天上地下的神。

他們在無可懼怕之處就大大害怕，因為神使那安營攻擊你之人的骨頭散開了。你使他們蒙羞，因為神棄絕了他們。

他們對約書亞說：「耶和華果然將那全地交在我們手中了，並且那地所有的居民在我們面前都融化了。」

從今日起，我要讓天下萬民驚慌懼怕你，聽見你的名聲，就因你發顫傷慟。」

他們回答約書亞說：「因為確實有人告訴你的僕人，耶和華－你的神曾吩咐他的僕人摩西，把這全地賜給你們，並要在你們面前除滅這地所有的居民。我們因你們的緣故很怕自己喪命，就做了這事。
