and Moab was terrified because there were so many people. Indeed, Moab was filled with dread because of the Israelites.

那时，以东的族长惊惶，摩押的英雄被战兢抓住，迦南所有的居民都融化。

推罗的风声传到埃及时，他们为这风声极其疼痛。

因为我们听见你们出埃及的时候，耶和华怎样在你们前面使红海的水干了，并且你们怎样处置约旦河东的两个亚摩利王，西宏和噩，把他们完全消灭。我们一听见就胆战心惊，人人因你们的缘故勇气全失。耶和华—你们的神是天上地下的神。

他们在无可惧怕之处就大大害怕，因为神使那安营攻击你之人的骨头散开了。你使他们蒙羞，因为神弃绝了他们。

他们对约书亚说：“耶和华果然将那全地交在我们手中了，并且那地所有的居民在我们面前都融化了。”

从今日起，我要让天下万民惊慌惧怕你，听见你的名声，就因你发颤伤恸。”

他们回答约书亚说：“因为确实有人告诉你的仆人，耶和华—你的神曾吩咐他的仆人摩西，把这全地赐给你们，并要在你们面前除灭这地所有的居民。我们因你们的缘故很怕自己丧命，就做了这事。
