When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, it turned off the road into a field. Balaam beat it to get it back on the road.

The donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road. The angel was holding a sword. He was ready for battle. So the donkey left the road and went into a field. Balaam hit the donkey. He wanted to get it back on the road.

大卫举目，看见耶和华的使者站在天和地之间，手里有拔出来的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大卫和长老都披上麻布，脸伏于地。

但是，神拣选了世上愚拙的，为了使有智慧的羞愧；又拣选了世上软弱的，为了使强壮的羞愧。神也拣选了世上卑贱的，被人厌恶的，以及那一无所有的，为要废掉那样样都有的，使凡血肉之躯的，在神面前，一个也不能自夸。

我—但以理一人看见这异象，跟我一起的人没有看见，却有极大的战兢落在他们身上，他们就逃跑躲避，

他却为自己的过犯受了责备，而那不能说话的驴以人的声音阻止了先知的狂妄。

跟我一起的人看见了那光，却没有听见那位对我说话的声音。

以利沙祷告说：“耶和华啊，求你开他的眼目，使他能看见。”耶和华开了这年轻人的眼目，他就看见了，看哪，满山有火马和火焰车围绕以利沙。

他们有祸了！因为他们走该隐的道路，又为财利往巴兰的错谬里直奔，并在可拉的背叛中灭亡了。
